New for 2012! This season you'll be firing off shot after shot with the new 52 Caliber from COMbat! COMbat has wowed crowds and players alike over the years with some of the HOTTEST composite bats to ever hit the market. Expect nothing different this time around. The 52 Caliber features a one-piece fully composite construction to give hitters the power they've been looking for. The 52 Caliber is made with Blended Fiber Technology, where Arimid fibers (found in bullet proof vests) are combined with carbon and glass fibers in varying proportions and precise angles to get more trampoline effect and absorb vibrations. This results in more energy transfer to the ball and greater distance. Through the use of Anistrophic Composite Technology, COMbat was able to create a composite weave that enhances key parts of the barrel to optimize performance and extend durability. The sweetspot of the 52 Caliber is enlarged through the use of Variable Stiffness Technology which lowers barrel wall stiffness on each side. This gives players mega pop on every hit! Durability and solid construction are key to this year's COMbat line. That is why they have added Nanocomp Technology to the 52 Caliber. Nanocomp uses carbon nanotubes to effectively fill in gaps between fibers to dramatically increase bat strength. Lock and Load baseball fans, the 52 Caliber is ready to make its mark! COMbat: For Players, By Players! This bat is backed by a Full Twelve Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: This bat is amazing, it has a ton of pop and it is not very heavy. I very much recommend this bat.
Cons: You have to break the bat in,but it is easy to break in.
Pros: Very well balanced & one of best grips I have ever come across. Bought 29/19 for my 10yr old. He really likes it. Breaking it in this fall and it responds better each time out. Swings easy and balls are popping off the bat. Seems very well constructed, barrel seems longer than other 29's I looked at. Nice looking, durable, & no sting.
Cons: White grip already getting grimy.
Pros: Ball flies off the bat. Seems to drive farther and with more boom. Even fouls take off.
Cons: Cannot think of any. None from this big stick.
Pros: My son plays on a select team. He is the smallest kid on the team so after much research we went with this bat, it was a great choice. I don't make a lot of money so I had my concerns, but after just one hitting session they were all erased. If you are considering this bat but the money is stopping you, give it a try, you won't regret it.The ball pops off this bat like nothing else that I have seen,he is putting them out there with the big guys now.
Cons: Draging my feet so long. after buying this bat I know now that we will only use Combat products moving forward.
Pros: easy to break in, ton of pop, stylish, nice sound, balanced for power hitters, 1.15 bpf(which allows you to use it in 2012), and just overall great! I love it.
Cons: every one wants to use it so if you are buying it (which you should) dont let the whole team use it! Other than that nothing! Its plain awesome!
Pros: Ball jumps off of this bat...it hits right up there with my OMEN...
Cons: Stings my hands a little on mis-hits...but not bad at all...Great bat!
Pros: My son plays 9U kid pitch and hit his 1st HR over the weekend using this bat. The pitch was high and it seemed like he didn't connect with it very well but it cleared the left field fence easily. He has been using a COMbat for 2 years now and has become a better hitter.
Cons:
Pros: HOT BAT right out of the wrapper!! My son hit 100 balls with it today and they were all line shots and had tons of speed! The bat seemed to get better with every swing. My 10 year old son has no trouble getting the 29/19 around to pull the ball. No regrets what so ever on this purchase!
Cons: This is not a con, but the bat seems to swing lighter than the advertised weight. The weight is true, because we weighed it, but my son is moving it faster than his B4 30/18.
Pros: this is a great bat with alot of pop
Cons: nada
Pros: THIS BAT HAS A LOT OF POP AND I RECOMEND IT TO ANYONE THAT IS LOOKING FOR A LONG LASTING BAT AKA SIMILAR TO THE B2
Cons: IT TAKES A LONG TIME TO BREAK IN BUT EASY TO DO
Pros: amazing bat just got it and went and hit with it and was ripping it. The pop is amazing!!! perfect for power hitters. Get this bat now it wont let you down
Cons: white grip gets dirty fast. But nothing on the performence
Pros: My son has been using the bat for a couple of weeks and has been killing the ball. Great feel and power.
Cons: none so far
Pros: Hit first HR with it son is 11 ball takes off WOW!!!!!
Cons: none
Pros: great bat
Cons: NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pros: Feels great in your hands and when swinging. Very light feel and can help increase bat speed. Lots of pop, especially when hitting the sweet spot.
Cons: Only had for a few weeks, but it does sting pretty badly when not hit in sweet spot. Hoping the stinging is just a part of the "breaking in" period with the composite.
Pros: I bought the 28/18 for my 8 year old. I did a lot of homework before I bought this bat. I was hesitant because of the price tag. I am thrilled with this purchase. We broke it in with around 100 pitches in the batting cage. The first time he used it in a game, he hit it off the fence. This is by far the farthest he has ever hit it. Great bat.
Cons:
Pros: Very nice bat
Cons:
Pros: Love this bat! The ball just pops off it so fast!
Cons: None!
Pros: The ball comes off the bat very fast. It has alot of pop. The handle has a very good grip.
Cons: None yet

Ask QuestionHow does this bat compare to the TPX Omaha Sl126XL. Does the balance feel the same? How about the pop?
Asked by George on May 18, 2012
The 2012 COMbat 52 Caliber will be more end loaded than the TPX Omaha SL126XL. Both have excellent pop.
Kara Expert · May 18, 2012
Which has more pop...the Combat 52 -10 or Combat 52 -8
Asked by Jason K on May 16, 2012
Both the -10 and -8 2012 COMbat 52 Caliber will be the same as far as performance is concerned and the carbon fiber material used in the composite material. The only difference is the length to weight ratio.
Tom Expert · May 16, 2012
What is the break in time for this bat?
Asked by Tek on May 15, 2012
The 2012 COMbat 52 Caliber is a one-piece composite bat and we recommend 150-200 soft toss or tee swings, rotating the bat 1/4" after each swing, to break in the 52 Caliber and get it game ready.
Derek H. Expert · May 15, 2012
Is this bat most similar to the COMbat B1 big barrel or the COMbat B2 big barrel? And by the way what is the difference between the 52 Caliber and the B3?
Asked by willyc on Mar 27, 2012
The 52 Caliber would be more similar to the B2 or the B3. Both, the B3 and the 52 Caliber will be pretty similar, but according to Combat, the B3 is supposed to maintain it's performance for a longer period of time. This is primarily due to a higher grade carbon composite resin Combat uses in the B3.

Is this bat legal for play in 13 U USSSA baseball?
Asked by ben on Feb 19, 2012
The 2012 COMbat 52 Caliber is legal for U 13 USSSA baseball.
Brad Expert · Feb 19, 2012
Is this bat approved for Dixie Youth Baseball? Will it be legal in the Ozone division?
Asked by Rookie on Feb 16, 2012
This bat does have the new USSSA stamp, but does not have "Approved for Play in Dixie Youth Baseball" printed on the bat. Big barrel bats will not be approved for Dixie Youth Baseball. I would check with your coach or league official for more specific rules and requirements. A list of approved Dixie Youth composite bats can be found here: http://youth.dixie.org/Assets/dixie+youth+baseball/pdf/Approved+Composite+Bat+Listing+-+2012.pdf

Why should you not use dimmple balls on bats
Asked by RDB on Feb 09, 2012
Dimpled balls are too dense and can damage the composite materials.
KB Expert · Feb 09, 2012
how does the pop compare to the catalyst?
Asked by ballguy on Feb 06, 2012
The Combat 52 Caliber has had alot more technology put into the construction, creating more pop, as well as strengthening the bat.
Derek Expert · Feb 06, 2012
does this bat have more pop than the new miken 2013?
Asked by sean on Feb 04, 2012
Composite bats like the 52 Caliber tend to have more pop than an all alloy bat because the composite material acts as a trampoline.
KB Expert · Feb 06, 2012
any weather restrictions for this bat?????????????? . i might get it and need to know soon
Asked by jakie on Jan 25, 2012
Composite barrel bats should not be used in temps below 60-55 degrees. In colder temps the bat will crack and break eaiser.

is the 52 caliber bbcor rated
Asked by ncrose on Jan 13, 2012
This one is not BBCOR rated. No bat lighter than a -3 will be. If you want the BBCOR version of this the model number is 52CALAB1. Only adult size -3 bats will have that rating. If you need something lighter and are allowed to, then the bat you choose must have the USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp on it, which this model, the 52SL1 does.
Linda Expert · Jan 13, 2012
Comparing 3 bats; Easton S1, Combat 52, and TPX Catalyst. All in 30/20 for contact hitter on 11u AAA travel, 5ft 80lb. Which bat is recommended?
Asked by AH 13 on Jan 08, 2012
It really depends on if you want a one piece or two piece bat. The B2 is going to be a little stiffer than the S1 because it is a one piece bat. The S1 will provide more flex. You really can't go wrong with either bat. The Catalyst doesn't come in a 30/20.

is the 52 caliber othe the demarini cf5 dop 10 a better baseball bat????

what is better for me the combat 52 caliber or easton SL1 im 11 and a contact hitter with some pop
Asked by b macc on Oct 28, 2011
They both are great models, the 52 Caliber is going to be a little bit of a stiffer feeling bat where as the S1 is going to have more flex. They both have a great amount of pop and should give you some good distance
Sean Expert · Oct 29, 2011

How does this bat compare to the TPX Omaha in pop and durability. Here in Colorado we play games from 55 degrees to 105 degrees.
Asked by George on Oct 01, 2011
Both of these bats are going to have a good amount of pop, the main difference is going to be the material used. The Combat 52 Caliber is going to be a composite bat and the Omaha is going to be a alloy design, when playing in colder weather it is better to use ally bats, they will maintain their form longer than composite bats will.
Sean Expert · Oct 02, 2011
Is this a good bat for 12 year old pitching
Asked by HOMERUN HITTER14 on Oct 01, 2011

Does this require the same amount of "break-in" that is required in the smaller composite bats?
Asked by NedKelly on Sep 20, 2011
All composite bats will have a break in period. The average break in will take 100-200 hits.
Kris Expert · Sep 20, 2011

Not very familiar with the COMbat brand. I've purchased Demarini and Easton for my son in the past. How does COMbat stack up to those brand-wise? Are there major differences? Appears they have similar warranties but performance-wise should a buyer expect anything different in a COMbat bat? Thanks.
Asked by BallDad on Sep 13, 2011
Combat bats have been known to have a lot of "POP". Some say they have a bigger sweet spot than other brands as well. I would recommend using a combat bat if you wanted to see more "POP".
Kris Expert · Sep 14, 2011
What is the difference between this bat and the B3 other than price? Thanks!
Asked by Coach D on Sep 12, 2011
The B3 is going to have a little more pop then the 52 Caliber. They both use different composites in the barrel of the bat. The B3 uses a newer technology in the composite that is used.
