New for 2012! The B3SL1 features the USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp and is legal for play in 2012! After a long wait, the B3 finally makes its debut in senior league baseball! COMbat has wowed crowds and players alike over the years with some of the HOTTEST composite bats to ever hit the market. Expect nothing different this time around. The B3 SL features COMbat's classic one-piece fully composite design. The B3 is made with Blended Fiber Technology, where Arimid fibers (found in bullet proof vests) are combined with the highest quality carbon and glass fibers in varying proportions and precise angles to get more trampoline effect and absorb vibrations. The premium grade carbon fiber used on the B3 produces the highest barrel reactivity of any bat COMbat makes. This results in more energy transfer to the ball and greater distance. More Kevlar in the handle of the B3 also produces a stiffer feel than is found on the 52 Caliber. Through the use of Anistrophic Composite Technology, COMbat was able to create a composite weave that enhances key parts of the barrel to optimize performance and extend durability. The sweetspot of the B3 is enlarged through the use of Variable Stiffness Technology which lowers barrel wall stiffness on each side. This gives players mega pop on every hit! Durability and solid construction are key to this year's COMbat line. That is why they have added Nanocomp Technology to the B3. Nanocomp uses carbon nanotubes to effectively fill in gaps between fibers to dramatically increase bat strength. The B3 also features a higher grade resin than the 52 Caliber, making this the highest quality baseball bat COMbat has ever constructed. COMbat: For Players, By Players! This bat is backed by a Full Twelve Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: my son loved the B2 and is moving up to 13u this fall. first hit went 300' followed by many more bombs. Great bat with awesome pop
Cons: just the paint chipping but none on performance
Pros: This bat has a huge sweet spot and is hot right out of the wrapper. My son has hit 3 home runs in 3 weeks. He's never complained about hand sting even on balls hit off the handle. Another kid on our team has this bat and is also having great results. I don't regret this purchase.
Cons: None.
Pros: The Combat B3 is a really good bat. Very good action, huge sweet spot and doesn't dent like the 2011 Rival. It is very balanced. Combat B3> S3> Rival.
Cons: Doesn't sound as good as the rival, but has better action then the rival honestly.
Pros: Great pop right out of the box. bat has awesome feel and balanced well. This bat comes highly recommended!!!
Cons: playing defense against this bat in a power hitters hands...
Pros: Large sweetspot, amazingly live bat right out of the wrapper, drop 10 was a must for my 75lb. 10-year old who almost hit his 1st home run with the first swing he put on a ball in a game after getting the bat, super anxious to see how "live" this bat gets once broken in
Cons: White grip (already dirt/batting glove stained) - might as well have gone with black, some would say the color but our travel team is "Caroline Blue" so it actually works for us
Pros: This bat is the BOMB!! I hit 3 home runs before I took it out of the wrapper!
Cons:
Pros: Fairly hot right out of the box. The more I hit with it the hotter it has gotten. Love the sound. No hand sting no matter where ball is hit. Great bat!
Cons: Needs a more masculine color!
Pros: This bat is hotter then the worth lithium bigger sweet spot and a stronger hitter will hit it much farther.
Cons: None
Pros: Great bat. Lots of pop. Ball flies off it. When pitchers see someone with this bat they know the guy can hit.
Cons: The color
Pros: Very hot bat. Seems to come off bat strong compared to Demarini Vodoo, SV12 and the Exogrid my son has as well as others bats we have used. Has a different sound but so far great bat.
Cons: None so far.
Pros: Bat has amazing pop right out of the box. My son loves the feel of the one piece. Amazing balance with very large sweet spot to handle any pitch.Other players love it so much another player had to purchase one.
Cons: Heard about chipping paint but haven't had a problem yet after alot of use.only other con is bat is so good everyone wants to use it.
Pros: Sick feel. Ball jumps off bat and moves very quick through zone. Went 10-14 in my first 4 games last weekend. 2HR 1 triple 3 doubles and 4 singles.
Cons: none...maybe the color:)
Pros: great bat, balance, balls are shooting off bat, breaking in during fall season, but already has great pop, can't wait for spring.
Cons: white tape on bat, it went from white to brown after two games.
Pros: Somewhat good pop hit pretty good with it
Cons: Cracked after hitting 50 pitches. Do not recommend this bat
Pros: First tourny with new bat. 11U Son crushed the ball. No home runs, but longest bombs of his career. Bat made a big difference, and is quickly becoming team bat.
Cons: None so far.
Pros: Very great pop off the ball. Love the bat. If you hit it in the sweet spot the ball goes soaring in the outfield.
Cons: None
Pros: Very nice bat. Switched teams and was scared to use it in first tournament, but i did and went 11 for 14 with 4 doubles and the rest singles but I'm a 2 hole kind of hitter so was surpised with the amount of power.
Cons: zero
Pros: Great pop, well balanced
Cons: Cracks easily, especially for older kids who swing harder and face hard pitching. My son's cracked literally the second day he had it. Several boys on our team have this bat and out of about 8 bats, 5 have cracked. Combat is good about replacing them, but why go through that hassle. I do not recommend.
Pros: My son loved this bat. Hit several doubles...
Cons: Cracked after two tournaments. Having to pay to ship it back and get another.
Pros: The ball does hit well off this bat.
Cons: Within the first week of the season, the bat cracked.
Pros: Bat should be classify as a weapon. U12 teams hitting 300 plus feet. Kids size avg 5.6 about 120 lbs,
Cons: Bat cracks in cold weather. Has less pop in cold weather compare to warm weather. If bat didn't crack so easy It would be a 5 out of 5
Pros: This bat has a huge sweet spot and tons of pop. Best composite bat on the market. Fairly hot out of the wrapper.
Cons: Long break in period and quite pricy but worth it
Pros: VERY GOOD RESULTS SO FAR EVERY KID THAT USES IT DOES WELL VERRY BALLANCED
Cons:
Pros: Great bat tons of pop super sweet spot good grip and evenly balanced
Cons: a little pricy for most people but if not this bat combat 52 caliber
Pros: Awesome pop and huge sweetspot
Cons: none amazing!!!!!!!
Pros: great bat huge sweet spot.almost hit one over. great pop
Cons: paint chips real easy.you have to break it in good b4 it starts sounding and feeling good.
Pros: Has the best pop out of any bbcor bat huge sweet spot and the the ball flies off the bat best bbcor bat in ny opinion
Cons: none
Pros: this bat has amazing pop, awesome color, and all the top notch travel baseball teams use this bat.
Cons: I used this bat 4 times and didnt hit it all that much and the shattered. IDK if i got a bad one but for how easily this bat cracks it should have way more pop
Pros: Pop
Cons: None
Pros: wow this bat is so amazing because yeasterday i hit my 100th home run with this bat
Cons:
Pros: none
Cons: no pop at alll
Pros: Gets the attention a great bat should, okay pop when ball is hit right on the sweet spot.
Cons: ball tends to pop up or down 7/10 time, must hit right on for line drives. I sent it back to combat for eval. they stated bat was performing up to standards unfortunately our less expensive bats are out performing it Ex. v12, rival, surge, worth prodigy,& Omaha.Asked combat personnel if bat would get better with break in, the said no. as per combat, bats can't increase their performance with break in due to new USSSA safety rules. really wanted this bat to work for us but not the case (28/18) used by 7/8 year olds.

Is this bat legal for 13U Babe Ruth league?
Asked by Cookie on Apr 30, 2012
The 2012 COMbat B3 is not legal for use in Babe Ruth play. According to the rules for this league, all composite barrel bats must be BBCOR certified. Senior league bats will not have that certification; only adult -3 bats will.

The COMbat B3 does not come in a 31" 20 ounce. This bat only comes in a -10, -8 or, -3 drop.

I am looking to buy my son a bat. He is 11 years old, 93lbs, and 5 feet 2 inches is the B3 a good bat for him? If so, what size?
Asked by matty on Apr 18, 2012
Based on your son's height and weight, I would suggest going with a 31 inch bat. The weight really depends on what he feels comfortable with and is usually a step up from whatever he is currently swinging. Without knowing what kind of hitter your son is, it is hard to say if this bat is the best option for him or not. However, it is definitely a good bat that is very durable and offers lots of pop.

The B3Sl -10 my grandson has does not have the pop his older model has. The hits sound dead. The balldoes not travel near as far. Does it need to be sent back to factory ?

There is a one year manufacture warranty on the bat. You can call Combat at 1-866-266-2287 for warranty information.

I just bought this bat for my son. Is it okay to use this bat in a batting cage to break it in with a protective sleave on the barrel?
Asked by dozer on Mar 07, 2012
I would recommend taking about 150-200 hits off a batting tee before using this in the cages. Also, make sure the batting cage does not use those yellow dimpled balls, as they are very dense and can be detrimental to the bat. After those hacks off a tee, you should be good to use the bat versus live pitching

What is the difference between the B3 and Combat Caliber 52?
Asked by lcard7 on Feb 29, 2012
After contacting COMbat themselves, the main difference between the COMbat B3 B3SL1 and the COMbat Caliber 52 is a slightly extended sweet spot on the B3.

i am trying to decide between the B3 and 2013 miken rzr. I like the bigger barrel on the miken. Is the miken more end loaded and which one actually "feels" lighter in a 29-19 ratio? i haven't seen any reviews on the miken. thanks
Asked by Pete on Feb 04, 2012
They both are balanced bats. However, composite bats do tend to feel a little heavier than all alloy bats like the Razor

Asked by batrup on Dec 29, 2011

Asked by goat on Dec 28, 2011
What type of hitter are you? Contact hitters often prefer two-piece bats with more flex, like the CF5. Strong, power hitters would probably benefit from a stiffer one-piece bat like the B3.

Asked by pete on Dec 27, 2011
Most manufacturer's recommend that you limit the bat's use when it is below 60 degrees outside. It doesn't mean you can't use it, but I would try to limit it's use as much as possible until it's warmer than 60 degrees.

How would this compare to the Louisville Slugger -9 TPX EXO Grid 2? We used the Combat 2 for the last two years and loved the pop, but broke it 3 times. Trying to decide between the EXO and the B3.
Asked by Indyball on Dec 25, 2011
I love the feedback we are getting on the B3. Combat is hard to beat. Though the EXO is a super nice bat, it has the immediate pop with the alloy barrel.

My son is a big 11-year old, lots of bat speed, and hits it a long way. He has always used the prior Combat (B2SL), with huge success. With the new standards, I'm trying to decide on this new B3 or moving to the Easton S1 or S2. Any suggestion, or should we be looking at something else? Thanks!
Asked by DT on Dec 18, 2011
Generally speaking, the S1 is a 2 piece composite, and will hit differently than what he is used to with the B2. Personally, I would go with the B3.

My son loved his B1 and our whole travel team loved the bat as well. He didn't feel the same for the B2. Is the B3 completely different than the B1 and B2 due to the league rules? All he wanted this year was the Omen and he used it and his hands stung, he now thinks he wants the B3. If it is comparable to the B1 then we are sold. Please let me know your thoughts.
Asked by Mom on Dec 12, 2011
This bat will be very similar to the B1. Combat makes a very high quality bat with tons of pop and a very large sweet spot. This is a great choice and will be like the B1 as far as performance.

Asked by cfb on Nov 27, 2011
You picked it! This bat, seriously is incredibly hot. Combat has really dominated the market in 1 piece composite bats. HUGE sweet spot, excellent pop! The Rival would also be a great addition to your gear bag, the 1 piece alloy gives you a great pop also. Both are nicely balanced.

That was based on initial feedback from some of our customers. It is stiffer than the Omen and should be better suited for power hitters.

Asked by brakkenk on Sep 12, 2011
The B3 is going to have the USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp on the barrel of the bat, the B2 is not going to have that. The B4 is going to have more pop and durability then the B2.

Do you have any opinion on this bat yet? Is it comparable to the Omen? or a step down?
Asked by Sal on Sep 08, 2011
The Easton Omen is going to be one of the top of the line bats on the market. The B3SL1 is going to be a bat that is going to be slightly under the Omen. It is still going to be a great bat, just a little less pop then the Omen.

what is your true opinion on this bat.
Asked by lou on Sep 07, 2011
This is going to be one of the better bats on the market for a -10. This bat has not been out to long, but from all the test that this bat has gone through, it will be around for a long time. This bat has great pop and is going to have great durability.
