New for 2012! Back with an impressive new design and mind-blowing new graphics, the DeMarini Voodoo is sure to exceed your wildest expectations! The Voodoo's supremacy begins at the handle where DeMarini introduces a new composite material this season called TR3 Strut Composite. With TR3, DeMarini seeks to replicate the triangular structure of a crystal, as that is what helps make crystals one of the toughest and most stable compounds on earth. TR3 Composite is strong, stable, and predictable - without any unnecessary weight. This handle is designed to efficiently transfer power from your hands to the barrel giving players balance and consistency with every swing. The barrel of the Voodoo is constructed with DeMarini's SC4 Alloy. This alloy provides a thickness tuned wall that extends the entire length of the barrel contributing to a wickedly hot and insanely durable sweetspot! The Voodoo also features Half and Half Technology that redistributes weight to give the bat optimal balance. This is extremely beneficial to players that are still developing the perfect swing, as it gives them the ability to swing faster with less effort; ultimately resulting in more power! DeMarini: Insane Dedication to Performance! The Voodoo is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: Awesome Bat, great pop... the ball flies off this thing. My son is 13 and has driven a couple over 350ft.
Cons: took a little to get used to the extra weight, but great intermediate bat in prep for HS.
Pros: DeMarini did it again. Amazing design with the skull, and the two piece design is awesome. I've been swinging this bat for about 8 or 9 months now, and it still has lots of pop! People complain about the sweet spot being small, but trust me, IT'S NOT!!! The barrel size is superb. I enjoy swinging this bat, nothing wrong with it.
Cons: Paint chips... BUT WHO CARES!?! All bats do, and I've had it for 9 months!
Pros: I borrowed this bat for bp and couldn't believe how much pop it has! Anything that hit the middle of the barrel came off like a bullet. Large sweet-spot. Well-balanced. Unreal pop! Good sound off the bat
Cons: None!
Pros: The design on the new demarini voodoo obviously catches your eye, but thats not the only pro when it comes to this bat. it has great pop, the classic demarini bat grip, and regaurdless of the new alloy technollogy which is not USUALLY as strong as composite, this bat may strike you as an exception.
Cons: barrel length could be a bit longer. but if youre into all the power in a more compact part of the bat, this is for you.
Pros: great pop and nice desighn
Cons: loses its pop over time
Pros: Im 14 and im hitting bombs with this bat its a great bat to have
Cons: The paint chips a little easy but who cares its a bat
Pros: This bat is amazing i have demoed at a cage. hits the ball smooth and free. i would suggest buying.
Cons: Price.
Pros: really nice bat lots of pop for a a bbcor i would recommend this bat for highschool
Cons: nothing
Pros: Bought the -5 for my son who will going to high School next year , he likes it, has plenty of pop
Cons: non
Pros: Best beat ever! Has great pop, light for -5. Also doesn't take long to break in.
Cons: nothing :)
Pros: this bat has an awesome grip and some of the coolest designs

Unfortunately, only drop 3 adult bats are eligible to be BBCOR certified. The drop 5 Voodoo is not BBCOR approved

Will this bat be approved for junior league little league for the next few years? Do you need the USSSA stamp in juniors little league? Does this bat have the USSSA stamp?
Asked by Double H on Feb 26, 2012
This has an alloy barrel and under Little League's new rules, is legal for use this year and at least next year.
Tyler Expert · Feb 26, 2012
Does the -5 voodoo swing lighter or heavier than the vexxum? I've heard the barrels are the same, but that the handles are a different material (and weight). I assume that this would create a different balance point.
Asked by paul on Feb 22, 2012
Based on customer feedback, the Vexxum will feel and swing just a little lighter than the Voodoo.
Tyler Expert · Feb 22, 2012
Is it allowed in 14U Sandy Koufax?
Asked by Alec on Feb 21, 2012
This bat is USSSA certified and will more than likely be legal for play in your league. All leagues are different though so you may want to check with the coach or league manager for verification.

Son had 2 cf4's in past that were composite. Voodoo is listed as half and half. What is the difference? cf4 had great results
Asked by Mark on Feb 20, 2012
The CF4 is all composite. The Voodoo has an alloy barrel with a composite handle. The CF4 is the more balanced in terms of weight distribution and the majority of users say it is slightly better performing than the Voodoo.

Does this bat meet the new 2012 BBCOR standards/rules for a 13 year old AAU travel team?
Asked by Russ on Feb 19, 2012
The 2012 DeMarini Voodoo Senior League would not meet BBCOR standards because it is not a BBCOR bat. Here is a BBCOR version of the Voodoo http://www.justbats.com/product/2012-demarini-voodoo-bbcor--dxvdc-adult/13531/

I bought a 32/27 2012 demarini voodoo dxvd5 bat earlier in the year and it doesnt have the USSSA stamp on it even though it is clearly the same bat as those now coming with the USSSA stamp on them. Is there a way I can get the bat approved for USSSA play (my son is 13 and will be playing both 13u and 14u ) or is this bat basically useless now in so far as USSSA events are concerned?
Asked by Rick on Jan 07, 2012
If the bat is still under warranty you can return it back to Demarini and they can get you one with a stamp on it
John Expert · Jan 07, 2012

This will not be a youth bat and will be too big for an 8 year old. Check out the DXVDL Voodoo as that will be the youth.

Asked by Billiard on Nov 21, 2011

According to DeMarini's site, this bat is NOT USSSA certified. I am confused, I don't want to buy a 'dead' bat until I need to.
Asked by Tommy Gun on Nov 20, 2011
The -5 is not USSSA certified. The -9 does have the USSSA stamp.
K.B. Expert · Nov 21, 2011
Does this bat come with the USSSA 1.15 BPF Stamp that is in clear view?
Asked by Stan on Nov 18, 2011
Since I couldn't see it in the pictures, I went out and looked at the bat myself. There is no USSSA marking on the bat.
Linda Expert · Nov 18, 2011
Have the new Demarini DXVD5 -5 bats with the required USSSA 1.15 BFP stickers been received and are they in stock? If so, are you going to also post a picture of the USSSA stamp?
Asked by creig on Nov 16, 2011
At the moment we don't have any that have the USSSA 1.15 stamp on it. When we do, we will post pics of it.
Linda Expert · Nov 16, 2011
so if my son is 13 playing nations, usssa, or superseries, will this bat be leagal before i spend the 300+ dollars for the upcoming spring season. 2012
Asked by cmac on Nov 11, 2011
The way the new ruling we just received reads is...Effective Jan 1, 2012, 14U big barrel bats Must have the new USSSA stamp on it, OR it must be BBCOR certified (which is a -3 weight), or be a wood bat. Small youth barrel (2 1/4" barrel) rules are as such...The must have the USSSA stamp on it, or the old USSSA stamp or be a wood bat. The DXVD% does not have the USSSA stamp on it.
Linda Expert · Nov 11, 2011
Will there be a -5 with the 2012 USSSA stamp?
Asked by Steve on Nov 10, 2011
If you play 14U or 15U, if your bat has composite in it, it has to be a -3 BBCOR certified bat, or have the USSSA stamp (which this one does not have) or be a wood bat.
Linda Expert · Nov 10, 2011

Is this bat USSSA approved for youth play beginning in 2012?
Asked by Jim on Oct 17, 2011
This bat does not have the USSSA 1.15 stamp on the barrel of the bat. All bats that have the stamp will have the picture of the stamp and say in the bullet points that the bat is legal.

What is a better bat in terms of balance and pop, the voodoo -5 or the Exo -5
Asked by NP West on Oct 04, 2011
Both bats will be very good options. They both will have solid barrels with very good POP. The Voodoo does NOT have the USSSA stamp if that makes a difference for you.
Kris Expert · Oct 04, 2011
I called DeMarini and they say the -5 bat after a small batch last summer that did not have the USSSA stamp on it now does. When will you get the new ones with the USSSA 1.15 stamp on them and the 31" model?
Asked by Ed on Oct 02, 2011
It looks like our next shipment of DXVD5 Voodoos will be here the first week of November. They all should have the new USSSA stamp at that time.
John Expert · Oct 03, 2011
when will you have these with the usssa stamp on it??
Asked by GT on Sep 29, 2011
To our knowledge this will never have the USSSA stamp on it. Only the -9.
Kara Expert · Sep 30, 2011
im confused mark said this bat doesnt come with the 1.15 bpf certified and usssa stamp but brett says it does
Asked by conner on Aug 17, 2011
As of 8/18/11, we do not carry the ones with the stamp on the barrel of the bat. We did earlier in the summer that is why there are 2 different answers on there. Once we get the ones that have the stamp, they will show a picture of it and it will say in the bullet points that we have them.
Brett Expert · Aug 18, 2011
Will I be able to use this bat in travel ball?
Asked by AJ on Aug 05, 2011
The -5 voodoo doesn't have the 1.15 usssa stamp, so if you are playing usssa tournaments you won't beable to use it. If you are playing under different rules you would have to check with you coach or league offical to find out.
Mark Expert · Aug 05, 2011
