Pros: AWESOME bat. I bought this bat for my twelve year old son. After breaking this bat in at the batting cage,He has hit at least one home run, if not two or three, per game. A great investment for the money. Seems to have more POP than the more expensive bats.Being from Kentucky i may be a bit biased. I do believe in the tried and true Louisville Slugger.
Cons: The only con I have with this bat is that i didnt order it at the first of the season!

Pros: ok , I was a little bit hesitant to believe that 1 aluminum bat was better than another , my son is 7 years old and hits very well with several different bats , but this 1 is different - I hit with it myself and it feels better , hard to explain, but it hits the ball "softer" with more of a trampoline effect and less sting than our other bats - best non composite bat I've had - WOW
Cons: none - bat is lightweight and allows the young player to not fall behind the ball - several of the kids on our team got their first hits off of the pitching machine with this bat - I know that 2 more orders are being placed
by Bghark - Mar 07, 2012
Pros: Best bat for contact hitters. Very ballanced and not "End loaded". We have a few bats over the $200 mark and this is the best of the bunch.
Cons: None, unless you are a very strong power hitter. If bat speed and OBP is important, this is the bat.
by wanderingbuckeye - Jan 30, 2012
Pros: Wow - This is the third LS we have owned and by far the best. Very well balanced, long barrel and great ping with no sting. Have been practicing in 40 degree weather with no ill effects
Cons: I guess the only negative thing I can say is that because it is a dark colored bat, it shows alot of scuffs (but no damage)
by wrigleyville - Feb 03, 2012
Pros: Son swung alot of bats but this kept him even through the swing plane and he hit line drives throughout. Love the 2 1/4" barrell for a smooth swing compared to him swinging the larger barrells which resulted in alot of mishits or foul balls.
Cons: I love the coloring but kids may get more excited about the bright colors on some bats. Omaha rules!

Pros: has good pop
Cons: dents easy
by ATRAV - Apr 16, 2012
Pros: this is a sweet bat. great pop doing batting practice and crushed the ball it flue off the bat. end cap reduces sting. BUY THIS BAT!!!! great price and good for 10-13 year olds (and strong 9 year olds but not heavy any way).
Cons: none but under priced but thats not really a con.

Pros: son liked the bat. He is making good solid hits with it. does not sting his hand like other bats.
Cons:
by Reece'sDad - May 03, 2012
Pros: Fast Shipping and that is about it.
Cons: This Bat is a complete dud, My son is 8 he was crushing the ball in games and practice with his $29.99, 28 inch 17 oz. So I decided to get him a decent bat so he could hit even better, boy was that a big mistake. I purchased the 29, 16. One inch more length = more leverage, One in less weight = more bat speed. 3 times the price = better materials with more pop. We took it out of the box tonight and took it to hit about 100 balls. This thing is a complete piece of garbage. No pop at all and a very little sweet spot. I would recommend not waisting your money like I did. I wish there was a trash can at the park so I could have put this bat in it.

What bat has more pop, TPX Omaha yb126 or Easton Convert?
Asked by Matell on Feb 20, 2012
Based purely on customer feedback, I would say the Convert has just a little more pop than the Omaha. However the Omaha isn't far beind and does have excellent durability.
· Feb 20, 2012
My son currently has this bat at a 30" (-13.5) for wt. of 16.5.Loves it. However very light would like to move up. Swung an Easton 31" 20oz, which seems to be right. Is it possible to get these dimensions in this bat. If not, why not? Further, if not what bat do you recommend with said dimensions that has the same feel & pop. Thank you.
Asked by Chuck on Feb 06, 2012
Louisville dictates the drops they want to manufacture. The CF5 and Marucci Black are going to have similar pop to the Omaha

Okay, My son is 4' 11" and wants to move up to a 31" bat. He weighs only 80 pounds. He has a very fast swing. Can someone recommend one of the following Omaha bats? We are considering the XT Stiff, the YB126 and the YB116. Any advice??
Asked by Mike on Jan 26, 2012
Any of these bats have balanced swing weights and would be a goo option for hitters transitioning to bigger sizes.

Do you know if this bat or many of the other Louisville Slugger youth bats (not big barrels) will have the new "finger print" stamp in early 2012. This is regarding the USSSA and 1.15 stamp on the stem of the handle.
Asked by Maxpower on Jan 05, 2012
Because many of the 2012 models were already on the shelves, when the new stamp ruling came down, many do not have it. But, the info given to us states, that as long as it says USSSA 1.15 BPF with the old marking, they will be grandfathered in until 2013 when all bats will be required to have the new marking.
· Jan 05, 2012
Is this bat legal for 2012. I am not clear on the new USSSA stamp. Is the new stamp 1.20 vs the old one 1.15
Asked by Geo on Jan 03, 2012
Yes, this bat is approved for all youth organizations.

My son is almost 8 years old weighs 66 ounds and is 52 inches tall: What size bat should he use? What is the best mid range price bat for a boy this age?
Asked by Jeff on Nov 19, 2011
It is really going to depend on what the player prefers, you might want to look at around a 28" 16 oz sized bat. I would look at something like the Omaha bats. They have a lot of pop and are very durable

My son is 7 1/2. First baseball tryouts Nov. 20, 2011. This is coach-pitch. but kid pitch next year (2012)is this bat appropriate for both?
Asked by Tina on Oct 27, 2011
Coach pitch bats are generally all big barrels. This bat is a small 2 1/4" barrel. It depends on what the regulations are for the kid pitch league he is going into.
· Oct 27, 2011
I bought an Easton VS12 for my son and was disappointed with it. How does the +20 alloy compare with the the 50/50 composite?
Asked by mbodad on Oct 12, 2011
The V12 is designed specifically for coach pitch and the walls are going to be thinner than the all alloy YB126. So if you are using it in a kid pitch league you will not get the performance you will from the YB126. The ST 20+ alloy is one of Louisville's best alloys with great performance and durablility.
· Oct 12, 2011
Is this bat composite......... which bat is the best out of these 3: 2012 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha: YB126 Youth, Louisville Slugger TPX H2 Hybrid, or DeMarini Voodoo Black-Gold?
Asked by Carson Denham on Sep 07, 2011
This is a one piece allot bat. The YB126 is going to be the best bat out of all these bats. It is going to be the newer bat that uses the newest technology on the market. This bat is going to have a little more pop then the other bats and is going to have more durability.
· Sep 08, 2011
Does this bat need to be broken in since it's not a composite bat?
Asked by Dennis on Aug 22, 2011
No. Alloy bats are ready and at their best from day one. No break-in is required.
· Aug 23, 2011
Will it always be legal in little league or will it be banned right after i buy it?
Asked by slugger on May 24, 2011
This is a full alloy bat that is BPF 1.15 certified. It will be legal for the foreseable future.
· May 25, 2011
Does this bat have the BPF 1.15 listed on the barrel? I talked with a Little League Official and this became a rule in 2007 or 2008.
Asked by Tippy on Apr 26, 2011
Yes. BPF 1.15 is marked on the barrel above the "P" in TPX.
