Ask QuestionHows does this compare to the XL1?
Asked by ryan on May 03, 2012
The Easton XL1 has a composite barrel and an end loaded feel. The 2012 Nike Aero MC2 has an alloy barrel and a balanced feel. You might get a little more pop of of the XL1 because the composite materials of that bat tend to act like a trampoline. Other than that, they will perform pretty similarly.

Does the MC2 lose pop as you use it? If so, how many seasons is it good for?
Asked by machine on Apr 30, 2012
The 2012 Nike Aero MC2 has an alloy barrel and will be the best it will ever be right out of the wrapper. As you use the bat, it will tend to lose some of it's pop, but not at a very quick pace. Unfortunately, there are no set life spans on bats as there are lots of factors that go into the life of a bat (proper care and use, how many people use it, how often it gets used, etc). With that being said, we have not heard of any durability issues with this bat and it should last you a while with proper care and use.

Is it a big barrel? I play for the juniors in little league and need a new bat
Asked by e on Apr 23, 2012
No. The BT0638 has a small, 2 1/4 inch, barrel.

Does the MC2 perform better in warm weather compared to cold weather or does it even matter?
Asked by machine on Apr 12, 2012
Composite and alloy bats perform better in warmer weather. Colder temperatures make the ball harder, causing the bat to dent more easily.

We bought a CX2 last year and now they are banned. Is there a trade or rebate by you or Nike?
Asked by Jim on Apr 11, 2012
You may return your 2012 Nike Aero MC2 directly to Nike. Please contact Nike at 1-800-344-6453 for return information.

How long do you thinnk it'll take to break this bat in?
Asked by charlie!!! on Apr 10, 2012
Since this bat has an alloy barrel, it does not require a break in. This bat will be hot right out of the wrapper! Only composite barrel bats require a break in.
· Apr 09, 2012
How would you compare it to the 2012 Demarini Voodoo Youth?
Asked by Mike on Mar 29, 2012
Since both of these bats have similar design (alloy barrels with composite handles) they will perform just about the same. Each bat has good pop, has vibration reduction technologies, and allows for maximum swing speed for the player. You can't really go wrong with either bat!
· Mar 29, 2012
can this be used all weather below 40 degrees?
Asked by machine on Mar 26, 2012
I wouldn't recommend using it when it's that cold. If you do, just try to limit the amount it is used in temperatures like that. All bats are more susceptible to cracking or denting in colder temperatures.

· Mar 14, 2012
How would you compare this bat to the Easton S2 -13? Which bat would you go with?
Asked by Mike on Mar 13, 2012
Since both bats are two piece hybrid designs with alloy barrels, they will perform very similarly. Both of them are very durable, balanced bats with great pop. You can't really go wrong with either!

Whats the difference between composite and half and half?
Asked by Charlie on Feb 06, 2012
A bat that is half and half will be half composite and half alloy. Half and half bats will typically have a composite handle with an alloy barrel, or an alloy handle with composite barrel. A full composite bat will be one that has a composite handle and composite barrel.
