2013 COMbat B3: B3SL1 -12 Senior League

Pros: We went 1" longer due to light weight.... Solid, nice pop... Due to light weight great with 2 strikes for contact.... We have hit some hard shots that were unable to be handled in infield....

Cons: Nicknamed the "Highlighter" by team due to color

Pros: Light, lot of pop, son loves it! Very quick, great bat speed with this bat. 14 at bats 11 balls hit hard and 4 "fencers"

Cons: Paint is chipping some....

Pros: Bat performance is exceptional. It has a great deal of pop right out of the wrapper and getting hotter as the bat is used more. Weight distribution and balance makes it easy for my son to get it through the zone quickly. Nice size sweet spot

Cons: Obviously the price is a major hurdle. And similar to the Combat Avarice softball bat, the paint chips quickly, BUT it DOES NOT effect performance.

Pros: Hoottttttttttt!!!! After about 300 balls this thing is banging! No sting according to my son. Used CF4 prior to this bat....likes the B3 best!

Pros: We've only had this bat for a few days, but it has already impressed. Ball jumps off the bat. Light weight results in ultra fast bat speed. My son is 8, and this is his first big barrel bat. He has used the combat b4 2.25 barrel in 29/17 with great results. When I saw this combat in 29/17 with a 2 5/8 barrel I decided to give it a try. This allows him to use the 2.25 barrel in league play and the big barrel in USSSA without constantly having to adjust to the different length and weight. It has not disappointed so far. Its colors get it some attention, too. Plenty of pop, distance and velocity on the batted balls despite light weight.

Cons: Pricey.

Pros: This bat has a lot of pop right out of the box. My 10yr old of 71lbs at 4ft 6in is hitting very good with it. We replaced a tpx omaha 28/18 with this combat 29/17. This bat is true to weight and balanced maybe just a tad end load and I mean just a tad, not bad at all. Grip is very good. Paint is so so, we hit about 120 balls and it as a few paint chips missing. About normal.

Pros: best bat to ever touch my hands.has great pop rite out of the box.it is the lighest big barrel i have ever felt.it is especially good for fast pitchers.i defiantly recommend this bat to every one who loves the game.

Cons: The drop 12 gave the bat more length which slowed my sons swing down at first. But we have fixed that. Just takes some getting used to.

Pros: Well-balanced, solid feel, seemingly large sweet spot.

Cons: Only got to use the bat for one tournament. After 5 total games, the paint had chipped off the bat to the extent that an umpire (USSSA rules) ruled the bat no longer legal for play because the composite material was visible. It literally seemed like some paint chipped off the bat with every single hit.

Pros: Excellent pop, son loves bat and has tried CF5, Easton,.....-12 ratio is quiet an advantage and have seen longer harder shots due to increased bat speed

Pros: Super light. My 8 yr. old was hitting with a COMbat B2 Youth 29"-17 oz. hitting well but needed something more competitive for travel ball. This is THE ONE. First game, hit three triples and two doubles. Has great pop with no break-in period. The whole team loves the green bat.

Pros: My son has only had the bat for a week, but loves it. Great pop,fantastic balance. Swings like a lighter bat. Every kid in the dugout caresses the bat lovingly, it just looks cool.

Pros: My 7 year old loves his new bat. He really wanted an Easton S1 27" 17 oz. but it's a bit heavy for him. We got the B3, 28" 16 oz. and it's just right. He tripled in his first game :)

Pros: Purchased after a team using this bat destroyed our team. Thought paying $200 large for a kids bat was crazy but I understand now! Bought my 4 year old a 27" 15 oz. and watched the hitting show commence. The lightweight, great balance and even better pop just built his confidence up. Insane how the bat just keeps getting better! If you are serious, then this is your bat!

Cons: Once other players see this bat they will shortly have it also! The paint chips at the end of the bat, so be careful.

Pros: Great bat. My son was using an Easton Surge that I sent off and had rolled. The Combat B3 bat (which he got for his 7th birthday) out of the box has more pop and better feeling than the Surge. His at first bat (machine pitch first year) the first time he hit with this bat (new out of plastic) he hit a ball and it hit the center field fence in the air about 3 feet off the ground. Can't wait to get the bat broken-in, should see some balls over the fence by the end of the season.

Cons: Let me see, broke 1, sent in, a month later got a replacement. 2nd broke, two months later waiting on replacement, called customer service a couple of time, been lied to repeatedly. Two times I have been told they just got a shipment and the bat is on its way, just now they told me they are refitting their presses & hopefully will start production within the next couple weeks! I will NEVER buy another Combat ANYTHING and urge everyone to do the same.

Cons: This bat has the same problem as other drop 12s. Sweet spot is too small and anything hit outside the sweet spot has crazy hand vibration. Some of our kids are refusing to hit with it after feeling the "sting."
