Pros: Initial results in practice were outstanding - Nice sound, very good pop. Will know more after our first tourney this weekend
Cons: Non Yet - Expect it to perform as advertised. Appears to be a good value
Pros: After comparing the Easton S3 and this bat, I decided to go for the Omaha XL. My son has used it three times already at batting practice and loves the feel of it. Nice POP when ball makes contact in its sweet spot. He is a 8 yr. old and loves to swing the 29" -10 drop bat! Bat is well balanced, not too heavy and gloves are not needed because of the excellent grip.
Cons: Not really a negative but grip is all white. So if you are particular about having a spotless bat then this might not be for you. (There is dirt involved in the sport of baseball!!!!)
Pros: I couldn't believe my eyes. This bat quickly became the team bat after each kid watched the results. This bat added 30 to 40 feet on the end of each fly ball. I didn't believe it was possible but seeing is believing. A routine ground ball to shortstop is now to hot to handle. There were parents watching batting practice questioning if the bat was actually legal to use. Simply Amazing!!!!
Cons: Wish I had 2 of them.
Pros: it has awsome pop.it is easier to hit with 23/4.i hit 4 homeruns inin 2 games
Cons: none why wounld there be any
Pros: just got this bat for my birthday GREAT POP,i love the grip, and the look is outstanding. Best bat out by far.
Cons: NOTHING AT ALL
Pros: I was really surprised how much bat speed my 9 year old gained with this bat. He could actually swing a size bigger than with other bats. Bat has really good pop and you will not be disappointed if you buy this bat.
Cons: None
Pros: Awesome bat. Before I got it I was barely getting it out of the infield. Now I hit everything to the outfield. Great bat and a great Christmas present.
Cons: 0, zip, nada, not one, really great bat.
Pros: It has lots of pop. I bought a 34 inch and me and my teammates feel it swings like a 33. Very light in the hands due to its balance. It's a one-piece so there's no need to break the bat in. Amazing sound when ball gets crushed off its sweet spot. I don't know how it compares to the Attack, but my teammate has the 2013 EXO and the Omaha is better and costs less than the EXO. The coloring is beautiful.
Cons: None that i could find.
Pros: Nice bat, my son loves it!! Hitting line drives since he has had it. Can't wait for the next game.
Cons: none
Pros: My son is 12 years old and weighs 87 lbs. He has the 30/20. This bat is balanced well and he can get the barrel through the strike zone easily with the -10. My son used his new Omaha SL136XL and noticed an increase in pop off of the bat. He then used one of his teammates Easton's and went back to his Omaha and said he can hit the ball harder with the Omaha. A definite value buy IMO.
Cons: None yet. The white handle will be dirty after one use, but that's baseball!
Pros: My son loves the feel of this bat. It is very well balanced. He had just a plan old Easton Reflex same size and weight and this bat pops the ball about 30 feet further. It is the perfect bat to fill the Gap between Little League and High School.
Cons: None.
Pros: Great pop - huge sweet spot
Cons: none
Pros: Well sized sweet spot. Amazing pop. Much better than last model.
Cons: Grip gets dirty easily, but that shouldn't keep you from buying this bat. After all, baseball does involve getting dirty.
Pros: Just got it today and my son brought it to b.p.. Good sound and pop. Love the handle. Biggest positive--no dents. Made the switch from Easton to L.S., with a 50 game schedule (not including out of state tournaments) my research has paid off. We're converted.
Cons: None
Pros: Great bat so far, tremendous pop right of the wrapper. My son loves it.
Cons: a little paint chip
Pros: Just got this bat and it's amazing! Great pop and massive sweet spot with a sick paint job.
Cons: NONE
Pros: My son loves this bat! Was striking out alot. Got this bat and now he is fire, hits go to outfield everytime. The ball pops!!
Cons: None
Pros: Nice pop right out pf the box! Great looking bat as well.
Cons: None.
Pros: Outstanding balance and very comfortable for son. Great response from the machine and coach pitched balls. Great bat-even looks better when dirty and completed a couple tournaments.
Cons: None
Pros: Son loves it. He is 13/30 in last 30 ABs. Was a good hitter always making contact, now the hits are falling in. We had an Easton and this bat is so much better. Do not hesitate to buy.
Cons: He will never try any other bat now, so we will never know if there is a better one.
Pros: everythig even the look and the handell bars so smooth on your hand.
Cons: nothing
Pros: love it there was way to many good hits today was my first time with this bat and it has awesome pop recommend to anyone!!!!
Cons: The white doesn't stay white for long but thats baseball your supposed to get dirty!!!!!!!
Pros: Great Bat! Swings light, and has lots of pop. Also very durable and looks better in person than in the pictures.
Cons: My son has the 28" 18 oz. model in this bat and a 28" 18 oz. in the 2013 Easton S3. This bat is actually shorter than the Easton S3.
Pros: bat is great it has great pop the grip is dirty but i would reccomend this bat for any bat for any body look is outstanding the cap is awesome thanks Louisville Slugger for providing this bat.
Cons: grip gets dirty but can come clean
Pros: Great balance and overall weight. My son really likes his new bat. When he is making contact it is solid and is still developing his power. He is playing 9u travel. Since we live in the Midwest and spring time is cold, this is a great bat. Price is good and Louisville Slugger wouldn't keep making a model year after year if it didn't sell.
Cons: The only real con is that my son is still adjusting to the drop 10 weight. The jump from 2 1/4" drop 12 to 2 3/4" drop 10 has proven to be a challenge. But with all things he will just have to adjust and get used to it. I joke, but I tell him wait until we get to drop 3!
Pros: Good bat.
Cons:
Pros: I hit the ball 230ft in little league and Im 12
Cons: the handle gets dirty
Pros: this bat has a great pop and is easy to hit with.
Cons:
Pros: The best bat ever. My son hit 4 home runs in one game. He has hit 5 more since then over the fence.
Cons: Too many bombs in one game.
Pros: Bought this bat for my 10 year old who plays for a travel team. The 30"/20 oz. missed the weight by only .3oz, has a very durable finish and swings very balanced. In his first BP session he hit four +220' blasts and 8 GR doubles! He is loving this bat and can't wait for this weekend's tournament.
Cons: None.
Pros: Great balance, large sweet spot and very consistent.
Cons: This bat dents far easily! My 9-year-old has dented two of these bats within a few weeks. They are worthless after four BP sessions.
Pros: Hit multiple home runs.
Cons: Not any.
Pros:
Cons:
Pros: Bought this bat for my 7 yr old son, who plays 11 and under. His batting average is 3rd on this his team, they won their division, so age doesn't exactly limit him, but I needed a bat that would keep him competitive, keep his confidence high, and keep the respect of his peers. This bat does all of this for my son. His teammates ask to use his bat and even the parents question me about it. I was originally worried that the larger barrel was going to slow his swing down but I was pleasantly wrong. His form and fundamentals have stayed the same throughout his swing. I have no complaints
Cons: None, yet

Which bat would you recommend? This or the 2013 DeMarini CF5?
Asked by Mattkru5 on Jun 13, 2013
Both are good bats. The Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha XL and the DeMarini CF5 Senior League are balanced bats. The Omaha is a one-piece alloy and will have a bigger 2 3/4" barrel, whereas the CF5 is a two-piece composite and will have more flex.

Can I use it for Pony?
Asked by tb1 on Jun 11, 2013
The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha XL: SL136XL Senior League is not legal in Pony League, as it has a 2 3/4" barrel, which are not allowed at any level in Pony League. The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha: SL136 Senior League, which has a 2 5/8" barrel, would be legal in all age divisions of Pony League.

I am looking for a big barrel for my son. I am looking at the Omaha SL136XL and the Easton SL13S310B and I can't decide between the two. He is 9 years old and has great contact, but lacks power right now. He is hitting a lot on the ground and I would like to give him some extra pop. Which do you recommend?
Asked by shawn on May 21, 2013
The Easton S3 SL13S310B and the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha XL are both going to be very similar bats. They are both one-piece alloy bats and they are both very balanced. You will not see a difference in performance from either bat, so it will come down to personal preference.

For a contact hitter, would you recommend this bat, or the Easton S2?
Asked by Luke on May 19, 2013
The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha XL: SL136XL Senior League and Easton S2 are both balanced bats, which is great for a contact hitter. The two-piece Easton S2 might work out a little though, because the flex in the bat will help you increase your bat speed.

Difference between alloys of Omaha Senior League bat and Omaha Coach Pitch bat?

The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha XL: SL136XL Senior League uses a different alloy than the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha XL: YB136XL Junior Big Barrel. The Junior Big Barrel will have thinner alloy walls that are slightly higher performing than the Senior League's alloy walls, which are designed to withstand higher velocity pitching.

It's my son's first year of 9 U travel. He's an older 9 year old and turns 10 in July. He's 56.5 inches tall and weighs 75 lbs. I would like to get 2 years out of the TPX Omaha XL. The bat coach recommends 29", but what do you think? Should I step up to the 30" model?
Asked by The Demon on Apr 08, 2013
Based on his height and weight, we recommend a 29" model in the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha XL: SL136XL Senior League bat. Although, he can also go up to a 30" model based on his height and weight which would allow him to get more use out of the bat.

Is the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha XL legal in 2013 USSSA 10uaa baseball league? I would hate to buy this bat and find out that a 2 3/4 inch barrel is too big. I read the rules at the USSSA website and it was for 2011 and 2012. I don't know if it will change for 2013.
Asked by Aj on Apr 02, 2013

Is the diameter graduation rate from the grip to the barrel the same between the Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha XL 2 3/4" and the Easton S3 2 3/4"? Or does one get wider closer to the grip? Hard to tell from photo comparisons.

The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha XL: SL136XL has a 7/8" tapered handle while the Easton S3: SL13S310B has a larger, 29/32" taper. The Omaha is narrower than the S3 near the grip.

Trying to decide between this Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha XL & the Easton S3: SL11S310B. We play about half season in 50-60 degree weather before it warms up. My son prefers a balanced bat and is kind of an all around hitter. He is a larger kid for his age. He had a Worth Prodigy that did not last 3 months during winter indoor hitting on pitching machine balls. Can you help push us in either bat's direction?
Asked by todd in minnesota on Mar 26, 2013
The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha XL: SL136XL Senior League and the Easton S3: SL11S310B are both very balanced bats. Their one-piece alloy design will feel similar to the Worth Prodigy. Both are very high performing.

Will hitting rubber cage balls damage or take the "pop" out of this bat?
Asked by Dale24 on Mar 07, 2013
We recommend avoiding the use of rubber batting cage balls as much as possible. They are much more dense than leather baseballs and could damage or reduce the life of any bat; even the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha XL: SL136XL.

My son is 7 and is 4ft9 78 lbs. and plays coach pitch baseball. The leauge is very competitive fyi. Last year I bought him a TPX omaha 27/17. He hits well but his bat is too small now and he doesnt get good coverage over the plate. I think he could go bigger but the coach suggests a 29 inch or smaller. I would like to find him a bat that is long enough but isn't too heavy to come around. What would you suggest?
Asked by BensDad on Dec 10, 2012
A 29" bat is recommended based on his size. A bat with a weight of 17 to 19 oz. is recommended based on his most previous bat. It's always recommend that a player stick with the same type of bat they have used in the past with the most success. In doing so, the player is much, much more likely to have continued success at the plate. So, if he has success with the Omaha last season, the best recommendation would be to stick with the same model.
Tyler Expert · Dec 10, 2012
My son is 4'4" and 70 lbs. He used a 29" bat last season on our travel team. Will a 28" bat give him enough plate coverage?
Asked by She'd on Dec 07, 2012
That would be a much better question to pose to his coach as we are unable to see, analyze, nor coach the player's swing. However, based on his size, a 28" bat is most common and he should be just fine with it.

My son is an 8 year old 4ft. 4in. 68lbs, and is playing 9/10 under travel baseball. He has been swinging a 27" 17oz. Worth Lithium Bat. He needs a new bat that will hold up in kid pitch. He has good bat speed and is a line drive/ground ball hitter. Would you recommend this bat, Worth Prodigy Legit-SLP234, or any other bat? I want something balanced with a large sweet spot so he can continue to have power to all sides of the field.
Asked by Ajaco3 on Oct 18, 2012
The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Omaha XL: SL136XL Senior League bat would be an excellent fit. It is a very balanced bat with the Lowest MOI (Moment of Inertia) in its class. That means the swing weight and bat design will allow for the best bat speed on the market. This bat is offered in -10 models and we do have a 27" 17oz. in stock currently. This model will have a barrel diameter of 2 3/4".

My son is a 8yr old 4ft 7in 80lbs, and is playing 10 under travel baseball. He has been swinging a 28in 18oz worth that is a coach pitch bat, so he needs a new bat that will hold up in kid pitch. He has good bat speed and is a line drive hitter. Would you recommend this bat, the Marucci Cat 5, or any other bat? Something balanced with large sweet spot so he can continue to have power to all sides of the field.
