New for 2014! The next generation of Power Brigade has arrived. Now in its third season, this groundbreaking line of bats is unlike anything else on the field today. The concept is simple: Help players hit for power. However, Easton realizes that different players achieve a powerful swing in different ways. That’s why the Power Brigade is divided into two distinct series - the XL Series (XL1, XL2, and XL3) and the Speed Series (S1, S2, S3, and S4). The XL Series is designed for bigger, stronger hitters who derive their power from a bat with more mass. Smaller length to weight ratios, and an extra-long barrel with a massive sweet spot and a slight end load characterize the XL Series. The Speed Series, on the other hand, helps players increase their swing speed in order to generate more power. These bats feature lighter length to weight ratios, a lower M.O.I., and a balanced feel. Further trying to equip players with their perfect bat, Easton offers all of its Power Brigade bats in a two-piece IMX Composite/SIC Black Carbon design (XL1, S1), a two-piece IMX Composite/THT100 Scandium Alloy hybrid design (XL2, S2), and a one-piece THT Scandium Alloy design (XL3, S3, S4). Two of the highest performing materials ever used on a bat, Easton’s patented IMX Composite optimizes the sweet spot for maximum performance, while their THT Scandium Alloy provides solid durability and allows for a larger alloy sweet spot than is seen anywhere else on the field. Throw in an array of additional world-class Easton technology, and you've got a line of bats that can’t be topped. Easton: Personalize Your Power! The S2 is BBCOR Certified and approved for high school and collegiate play. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: Great pop love the soft handle it's so worth the price
Cons: It's when you hit off or near the handle it has a big vibration and when you drop it during your vibration it sounds broken
by Deion Corley - Jan 26, 2014
Pros: Swing weight is excellent Very Balanced The design on the bat is simple and cool This bat as good pop even on miss hits, I'd recommend this bat to the contact hitters like myself who also have some power.
by Justin - Mar 24, 2014
Pros: GREAT POP I hit 3, 275 ft. homeruns and I am not a POWER HITTER. Quiet bat which I like!
Cons: Nothing wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
by homer - Apr 12, 2014
Pros: this bat has a lot of pop and the handle is very comfortable. It has a lot better feel than the s3, and this bat is very durable. Well worth the money
by mikey downs - Apr 21, 2014
Pros: great pop and little vibration. good for a power hitter that wants a quick swing. i hit a homerun with it the second day i had it
Cons: because of the composite it takes time to break in
by mike - Feb 19, 2014
Pros: I bought last years model bat and it began separating at the connection piece, we called easton and they sent me this years model. Great bat, this is the first problem i've ever had with an easton bat and they took care of it not including the fact its awesome and the weight helps you destroy the ball
Cons: the sound of the bat on the ground isn't too pleasant

2014 Easton S2 BBCOR: (BB14S2) will be top of the line in comparison to other models when it comes to creating pop, and providing limited vibration. The 2014 Easton S2 (BB14S2) will be a two-piece hybrid design, and will incorporate a composite handle and alloy barrel. I'm 13 5'4" 120 lbs. I play spring ball in northwest Ohio should I get the S1,S2 or S3 because of cold weather?
Asked by riley 46 on Mar 26, 2014
A composite or an alloy bat can be damaged in colder temperatures. The all becomes harder and can crack or dent the bat. However, an alloy barrel bat such as the 2014 Easton S2 BBCOR ( BB14S2) would hold up better than a composite.

Is this a big barrel? And is good for use in high school?
Asked by Michigan24 on Mar 24, 2014
The barrel size on the 2014 Easton S2 (BB14S2) is 2 5/8". It is not a 2 3/4" barrel if your looking for a big barrel. It would be certified for high school use and I would recommend this bat for anyone in high school.

The biggest difference between the 2014 Easton S1 BBCOR (BB14S1) and 2014 Easton S2 BBCOR (BB14S2) is going to be the way that it is constructed. I am 5' 6" and 120 lbs. Would you say the S2 would be a good choice, or would a different Speed Series bat fit me better?
Asked by goft on Feb 18, 2014
If you like a balanced bat, any of the Speed Series models would be a good fit. The biggest differences between them are the materials they're made from and whether they are a one-piece or two-piece design. The two-piece design of this 2014 Easton S2 BBCOR (BB14S2) Adult bat provides additional trampoline effect for a contact hitter and helps eliminate vibration. It's a solid choice that is hot right out of the wrapper. Based on your height and weight, the 31" model is the recommended length.

Is the S2 (BBCOR)composite handle lighter than the S3 (BBCOR)alloy handle? If so, does that make the S2 more end loaded than the S3?
Asked by batman33 on Oct 08, 2013
The composite handle in the 2014 Easton S2 BBCOR: BB14S2 Adult is lighter than alloy material. A two-piece bat with an alloy barrel, will tend to feel heavier than a one-piece bat.
