New for 2012! Known for producing some of the highest quality gloves and bats on the market, Akadema enters the BBCOR world with the release of the Apocalypse! The Apocalypse BBCOR uses much of the advanced technology applied to the Catapult Ice, but with its own shocking features, this bat is sure to intimidate any pitcher. The Apocalypse is made from 100% Scandium Alloy that is dipped in Glycol to cool down the bat and give it greater strength. In fact, this one-piece design is one of the most durable BBCOR bats on the field. You know that this bat is ready for battle because it is made with the same machine that is used to make Hydra Missles! That alone should be enough to ensure players of the quality and durability of this bat. Many BBCOR bats are top-heavy, but not the Apocalypse. Using Counter Balance Technology, Akadema has created a bat with a lighter feeling barrel, allowing players to increase their swing speed and put more power behind every hit! Akadema: Baseball Is In Our Blood. This bat is BBCOR Certified and legal for play in High School and College. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Cons:

Pros: Hated my Nike and heard lots of top colleges were switching to the Apocalypse bbcor. I love the balance and pop
Cons: dont like any grips just like tape
by dawgcoach - Mar 27, 2012
Pros: Good balance and swings well.
Cons: Bat dented in three places after only playing three high school games. Not durable enough. This is used as a team bat so even though only three games it has taken more at bats.

Pros: Great, great pop - have tested many of the BBCORs. This one is right up there with all of the best. No problems with denting in over 2000 swings. Excellent grip. Cool graphics. I own an Easton Omen and Marucci Cat 5. This bat has better pop than both.
Cons: End loaded. Mainly for power hitters.
by easton656 - Apr 06, 2012

Cons: dented after about 200 hits in games and batting cage so i got a exogrid

Both the Akadema Apocalypse and the Rawlings 5150 are great options when looking for a one-piece alloy bat. Here is a link to further compare the Akadema Apocalypse and the Rawlings 5150. http://www.justbats.com/compare/

How does this bat compare to Cat 5 and Omaha?
Asked by Joed on Jan 13, 2012
This bat was dipped in Glycol, that is designed to make the bat have better durability. It is also counterbalanced, for a super lightweight swing. But other than that, all 3 are one piece all alloy bats.

Is a 31-28 as small of a drop three bat a person can get? my middle school team is little and we are looking for a small drop three. and do you make this bat in a31-28?
Asked by larry on Oct 31, 2011
There are numerous 30-27 bats and 29-26 bats. Just type in those sizes, and everything we have in them, will pop up.

How are the reviews on this Bat?
Asked by BB Dad on Jul 24, 2011
This is actually a brand new bat and as of 7/25/2011, we haven't had any reviews submitted and I haven't spoken with any customers who have used it. However, some of us here have hit with it and I would compare it to the Easton Rival in terms of performance and quality (good overall with decent performance and good durability).
