Pros: I play baseball in a pro-am baseball league. I wasn't quite sure for 60.00, if this bat was as advertised. I have to admite, after hitting a 370 foot homerun, this bat is as advertised. This is a very solid hitting bat, as well as very durable. You will not find a better bat for under 120.00, I guar

The Brett Bros. Wood Baseball Bat! The Brett Brothers entered the bat business with the goal of ensuring that coaches at all levels of baseball have access to superior quality composite wood bats that are cost effective. Consistency and durability were the primary factors when establishing their bat designs. The Brett Brothers have been involved in baseball their entire lives, through Bobby and John's Minor League careers to the Professional careers of Ken and George. The Brett Brothers know baseball. Even today baseball is an important part of their lives, with each brother being involved in their own way. George, who is still a part of the Kansas City Royals Organization and a hometown hero here in Kansas City, was a career .305 hitter with 3 Batting Titles, a 1985 World Series Ring and an induction to the Hall of Fame in 1999 to round out his 21 year career in Kansas City. Not only did he prove to be a consistent hitter he showed that he had the knowledge to succeed. The Brett Brothers understood that having reliable wood was an important component. This is why they implemented their 3-piece laminating system along with their patented Boa fiberglass reinforcement that is applied to the handle. The MB110 combines the bamboo core of the Bamboo Dragon and maple laminates to create a bat with unparalleled durability. Brett Brothers: The Very Best in Baseball! The MB110 is now BBCOR Certified and legal for High School and Collegiate Play! Free Shipping!

Pros: AWESOME! Bought one for my son as a freshman in high school. He is now a Senior and is still hitting with the same bat, while others have broken bat after bat.
by smitty16 - Jan 17, 2012
Pros: will not break, I have taken countless shots on the tip or handle and has not broken at all. Essentially, this has the durability of an aluminum bat but is a wood bat, which is what it is. I watched team mates break lots of louisville sluggers, maruccis and other brands while this one kept holding up. Do not buy the straight up maple, this one is more durable with the same pop and price. This bat is the best value in baseball.
Cons: Not more color choices
by Phillies - Mar 21, 2012
Pros: This bat is like no other. The first hit you get with it you will understand. It was iffy when i ordered it in the mail but the first day first hit was a 320ft bomb over the fence.
Cons: NO SUCH THING AS A CON FOR THIS MB110
by my5sons - Jan 21, 2012
Pros: Killer bat with killer pop! My son hits the ball better with this bat than any BBCOR bat. All BRETT BATS are BBCOR certified..
Cons: It doesn't come in a 243 model!
by OP - Jun 22, 2009
Pros: Bamboo bends but doesn't break. The bat will last. Half the team used the bat and it lasted a year and a half. Maintained a nice sweet spot through out it's life.
Cons: The new bats come with a different finish. The handle looks like a plastic toy bat and the barrel is chipping a bit. That did not occur with the first bat that I purchased.
by King 95 - Apr 25, 2011
Pros: Great pop for a wood bat. You can kind of feel the ball shoot of the bat when the ball hits the sweet spot. Makes a really nice sound too! Also, the bat feels really nice when you swing it and is balanced well. Overall, a great bat! I plan on using it a lot. Great price too. You should definitely buy this bat!
Cons: sting is bad if you hit the ball off the very end of the bat (like the last 1/2 to 3/4 in. of it) but that was on a cold day so the sting was worse than normal for the metal bats too. Shouldn't happen though unless you chase an obviously outside pitch, which I did that time.
by Tubagger - Oct 26, 2011
Pros: Wasn't quite sure what I'd get for $59.99 but I took a leap of faith. Received the bat today, went to the cage and it's a GEM. Really like the 'grooved' handle. Tapered handle fits nicely in my hands. I may even sleep with it tonight!! This bat is going to Florida with me for the Roy Hobbs Wood Bat Tournament.
Cons: Sorry I didn't have the foresight to order 2!!
by rndert - Mar 04, 2012
Pros: great feel, makes solid contact
by Jason - Mar 01, 2012
Pros: Nice weight and solid bat. Like any wood bat if the ball is hit in the sweet spot, the bat provides a strong "POP". I feel very comfortable using this bat for 18-24 games and it is comparable to Marucchi or any other bat supplier.
Cons: A procup option would be nice.
by TacoKing - Mar 21, 2012
Pros: this bat in my eyes is better than the marucci brand i have swung a marucci but the bamboo and maple is imposible to beat it just that good
Cons: Their shouldnt be a con for this model, just saying
by bert - Apr 22, 2012
Pros: the towel did wonders!
by Will - Apr 11, 2013
Pros: Bat looks sick. Feels great when swinging.
Cons: Broke the first day with 60 mph pitching. Wasnt even a handle shot. Just bats replaced it free of charge so hopefully the next one is more durable. Ive heard they are very durable and must have gotten a bad bat but fingers crossed none the less.
by MikeF - Mar 09, 2007
Pros: UNBELIEVABLE!!! I have not broke this bat in over 3 months, and its still going strong.
Cons: the pine tar does not stick very well to it.
by ryan - Jul 13, 2009
Pros: i have used this bat for almost two seasons and it is still not broken. tons of pop. its a great bat and would highly recommend it
by Silver Foxes 18 - Sep 23, 2009
Pros: My easiest bat to control (32/29)! Very nice balance. The ball rockets off the bat on solid contact. Had a few handle shots, but this bat will not break. It's going to make a great batting practice bat some day :-)
Cons: The maple layer does dent easily. When the bat hits the dirt, rocks will produce chips and dents. On hits, you can see the stitching from the ball imprinted on the maple layer.
by chsbaseball - Dec 03, 2011
Pros: Im in highschool and bought this bat and it worked wonders for me through my fall ball season and is still durable and has heavy pop while i am using it for indoor hitting. The barrel is small but i like it because there is still a large sweetspot and the weight distribution is well balanced. Also it has killer looks.
by ColoradoBen - Feb 26, 2012
Pros: This bat is beast! I use it in the Denver NABA 18+ AAA league, and it always performs. Whether in the cage for bp, or when it's game time, this bat is the real deal. Solid handle with very little flex in the handle, and the barrel has plenty of sweet spot, with tons of flex there with the bamboo core. I love it and I will buy another soon.
Cons: I didn't buy two to begin with.
by Bmoney - Mar 04, 2012
Pros: I use this bat for the first time and was amazed at the pop it has!! Im sold
Cons: I would like to see it offered in another color
by Cardinals - Mar 19, 2012
Pros: This bat has a lot of pop my friend has one and once i used it once i was sold i had to get one. This is one of the best bats i have ever swung in my life.
Cons: Its to good its not fair
by bat guru - May 15, 2012
Pros: This bat for a composite has very good pop (although not as much as a high end straight wood bat) i have used it as a BP bat for a year now and works great! but i would not use it in a game because it feels soft off the bat
Cons: does not have as much pop as higher end straight wood bats for similar prices feels soft and dents/warps after a while
by skullmann - Sep 04, 2012
Pros: Good value bat
Cons: BBCOR marking is a sticker that can wear off.
by Bill C - May 08, 2013
Pros: Awesome bat! I purchased 2 of these bats for my twins, who are playing in a 14U league. They've been swinging the bat hard and hitting the ball as far as any of the other kids who are using BBCOR aluminum bats. Lots of pop, great finish, and highly durable. This bat also has a great appearance and looks better than a lot of $100+ bats.
Cons: Haven't found any cons yet. We're just about finished with the season and the bats have performed well all year.
by RickyBaseball - Jul 20, 2013
Pros: I play baseball year round and hit at the cages almost everyday. I've been using this for about 1 1/2 years and has taken countless shots off the handle and has not broken yet.Dosent hurt if you take one off the handle
Cons: Will have seam dents in the bat but don't affect the bat's performance.
by Dog - Oct 09, 2007
Pros: I purchased the Old Version of the MB-110 several years ago. This summer I hit 5 HR's with it in 60 at-bats including a 400ft Homerun after it cracked and I taped it up!
by FRED E. - May 08, 2011
Pros: my son has had his bat for over six years, used it for high school and travel ball still hasn't broken, as a coach i recommend it to everbody it's a great bat. still use it for batting practice.
Cons: my son does not play anymore
by ddu - Mar 29, 2012
Pros: great bat tons of pop to it. feels very light. GET THIS, NOT MARUCCI OR DEMARINI OR ANY OTHER BAT JUST BRETT.
Cons: got this after my last one broke after 100,000 hits. bat shows dents after hits but keeps pop.
by xcaliber - May 17, 2012
Pros: solid bat great finish weighted very good and of course THE PRICE! great job brett bros.
by JeffRo - Aug 22, 2012
Pros: I play in a semi-pro league in New Mexico. and i have been using this bat for th elast 6 months, and i cannot say anything bad about this bat. I am hitting .825 over 17 games all with this bat. off the handle, off the tip doesnt matter where, this bat always seems to get out of the infield. Great bat.
Cons: not really a con...but too laquered for my taste...
by zots - Aug 26, 2012
Pros: Brett Bros. comes through! I purchased this bat (MB_110 32 ) from just bat and loved the bat. Unfortunately after using it in a couple of tournaments practices it developed a splinter of the grain on the barrel. I contacted Brett Bros. via email and received an email the next day requesting photos and my receipt. A day later I received a second email informing me they were sending out a new bat FREE OF CHARGE. The bat they sent me is the Wulfman model 110 as the other bat was out of stock. I was extremely pleased with Brett Bros. customer service and would highly recommend trying their bats. I will definitely purchase one again.
Cons: Only that it splintered but his may have been a fluke.
by Rancor Prime - Sep 05, 2012
Pros: The bat is more of a 4 and a half star rating but I rounded up since its well-made and a great price. Very light and well balanced, excellent bat control. The ball will also carry surprisingly far when you hit it just right, it doesn’t explode off the bat but gets a lot of lift and “softly†goes deep. I highly recommend this bat for contact hitters who have/desire bat control.
Cons: I wouldn’t recommend this bat for pull power hitters or line drive hitters. While it is still an excellent bat, by design it doesn’t have a large heavy barrel. The ball also doesn’t explode off of the bat, it will go far but it travels “soft†not “hardâ€. My all Maple Max bat and Sam bats generate a lot more velocity on impact and youll be able to drive the ball better with a heavier barrel.
by Rich - Nov 10, 2012
Pros: Excellent feel and balance. Great finish.
by Steven - Mar 10, 2013
Pros: It doesn't crack and it has pop.
Cons: It didn't come the same color as this one in the picture.
by Swingman - May 04, 2013
Pros: This bat is amazing. When i bought the bat i was expecting it to have a heavy feel to it but it felt surprisingly light to swing. Another pro about the bat is its pop. I started off using the bat as a batting practice bat but the more i swung with it the more I liked it. It has better pop than my bbcor metal bat so i started using it in games and I've been doing well. And with this price its an amazing value.
Cons: Has no warranty.
by rick - Aug 14, 2013
Pros: looks nice
Cons: mine dented in the second round of bp small sweetspot no pop unless u hit the sweetspot but that's only like 2 centimeters long don't trust the reviews
by Eliseo Contreras - Oct 01, 2013
Pros: good pop... easy to get around
Cons: small barrel
by Will#4 - Oct 05, 2013
Pros: Very durable. Looks pretty nice. Decently balanced. In my opinion you get what you pay for with this, a durable batting practice bat.
Cons: Not as good as hyped up to be. Has little pop. A lot of these reviews look like they were written within a week of getting the bat when you still have that new bat high. Because that's how I used to feel for the bat. But I have had this bat now for 6 months and it's average. If you're looking for a higher quality bat I would suggest pursuing a Marucci, Sam Bat, Old Hickory, Chandler, Victus, or an SSK. If your searching for a cheaper pickup this would be good.
by surfer2542 - Feb 20, 2007
Pros: Most durable wood on the market. I have used mine for over 6 months and it still performs very well.
Cons: absolutly nothing
by manny - Feb 24, 2007
Pros: durability and feel. used all season (18 games). Teammates went through 5-6 bats,I only used one!!
by qdogg - Feb 25, 2007
Pros: Very hard to break. Will last a long time.
Cons: May not get the same "pop" as regular wood bat.
by BO - Apr 15, 2007
Pros: OMG this is the best bat i used it for 21 games and it stills runs good
Cons: ummmmmmmmmm none
by - Apr 24, 2007
Pros: this is one of the best wood bats on the market
Cons: the "pop"
by imachado10 - Sep 04, 2008
Pros: The bat lasts forever. I've had mine for 3 years and it still sent a ball 400 feet into the wind! And that's even with stress fractures in its handle. Brett bats are rediculous.
by ryan - Feb 01, 2009
Pros: great bat. the mix of the maple and bamboo makes it perfect
Cons: none. its too good
by andRobin - Apr 02, 2009
Pros: GREAT BAT! For anyone looking for a good priced wood bat that won't break this is what you want.
Cons: After many many rounds my bat developed a small fracture line in the barrel where the pieces of mapel were put together. But it still works fine
by AJ - Jun 18, 2009
Pros: Looks Great Well Made
Cons: None so far
by bwest1107 - Mar 09, 2010
Pros: Very sharp lookin bat, i have hit somewhere around 850 to 1000 balls with it so far and not a single problem, bat has good pop to it as long as you are catchin the sweet spot
Cons: cant find any yet
by Puckster - May 13, 2010
Pros: Fantastic Bat, great price. Everybody on the team wants to use it though!
by sunshine - Jun 21, 2010
Pros: Nice pop, good balance. Solid, it didn't break and it was hit off the end a couple of times. Good practice bat.
Cons: Barrel is a little too narrow if you use it in a wood bat tourney. Suggest a 271 or 243 cut. And get plenty of practice beforehand bucause the swing weight will be more toward the end of the bat than aluminun. Maple covering showed wear after 3 days of use.
by Anonymous - Aug 06, 2010
Pros: It has good pop, and it feels great when you hit it on the sweet spot.Didn't break even after hitting many off the end.
Cons: The grip can be a little slippery if you're sweating. The wood has shown slight dimpling from hitting the seams, but it's not very prominent.
by bull34 - Aug 16, 2010
Pros: Great feel. Love the sound of hitting with wood. Gaining more pop in my swing with every practice.
by Lord of the Purple Dragon - Sep 19, 2010
Pros: Was able to hit good right away didn't take any getting used since its the same size as my aluminum bat.
by - Oct 07, 2010
Pros: Wow! Perfect balance - not just weight, but the balance of the woods is amazing! Nice whip & stregnth of bamboo and great feel of maple off the bat.
Cons: It's too darn pretty!
by Saltydog - Oct 16, 2010
Pros: This is an excellent bat. Durable, quality construction. Nice balance; slightly end weighted but not enough to slow it up. Full season under it's belt and still hitting strong.
Cons: Only bought one!
by - Oct 29, 2010
Pros: I love the bat. It's built like a tank
by jdmorris - Feb 09, 2011
Pros: Nice finish, great feel and balance. My 14yr. old son uses it for batting practice and the wood bat gives him much more feedback than an alumn. bat
Cons: None so far!
by lgflow44 - Feb 18, 2011
Pros: great bat has amazing pop and i love it!
by LG - Mar 03, 2011
Pros: Great bat! my 12 year old son loves it and yes is very durable. We only use it for training. We will use a lighter bat for games.
by TheBeast - Mar 14, 2012
Pros: love this bat. it looks good and has a nice grip. its a very solid bat and the ball jumps off this bat. its a little end loaded but perfect for bp/slow pitchers. i have had it for a day and have already hit over 250 balls with it.
by manny4441 - Mar 24, 2012
Pros: very balanced, has great sound when hitting a baseball, extremely sturdy, handle feels great
by hennegg - Mar 31, 2012
Pros: Great bat to go hit with , has a great feel when you swing it ,positive results when you connect with it .Hit one 420 something feet in a game the other nite !
by TaylorS - Apr 14, 2012
Pros: Great balance, a lot of pop. Extremely durable, I've taken several shots of the handle with no breaks. Best bat for your money, and has a great feel to it.
by Slugger - Apr 17, 2012
Pros: Great bat!!! some reviews are right about how it dents easily and how the paint slighty chipps but its a bat after you hit you'll throw it onto the ground how can you not expect their to be some type of damage to the bad but it doesn't affect the performance of the bat what so ever. Everyone on my team is using it. ITS AWESOME!!! Best 60 bucks i've spent my whole life great balance nice grip and sweet pop this bat is a must
Cons: nothing really
by tradosaurus - Apr 27, 2012
Pros: I bought this bat for my 13 yr old son to swing in league play to improve his hitting in major tournament travel ball. I personally believe he hits the ball farther than his Rawlings Plasma metal bat. It has a great sound and after 2 months is still going strong. I'm going to buy another one.
Cons: Having a red tint to the barrel of the bat shows nicks but it's not a big deal.
by wally25 - May 13, 2012
Pros: this is a very durable bat with great pop.....wont break ever!!!....i was alittle bit nervous about the pop since all everybody talked about was its durability but wrong it has POP!!!!!
Cons: came with a couple minor dents and scratches but only seen if u look close
by Joe - May 18, 2012
Pros: I've had this Brett Brothers bat for 3 20+ game seasons and I'm still using it. I use it for BP, cage, soft toss, & games so it gets it's swings in. The weight is nicely distributed and the larger handle knob adds good control of your hands while swinging. These bats also have great pop and the fiberglass wrapped handle make them extremely strong. Another guy on the team has one too & never had a problem with his either.
Cons: As I've noticed in the couple different bamboo bats I've used, Bamboo stings your hands if to hit the ball off the handle or the very end of the bat. It help counter this, I bought cushioned tennis racket tape and while it helps a lot, it doesn't stop it all. Still worth it for such a GREAT bat at a GREAT price. I do wish it was cupped, but Brett does sell one like it that is cupped.
by Baeball Legend - May 21, 2012
Pros: Great bat, cool looks, great pop, great in all weather conditions. me and my 19 year old son had a baseball game in the dead of winter. WHILE IT WAS SNOWING! I recomand this bat to anyone who is a pro.
Cons: Needs more color
by Scott - May 21, 2012
Pros: Durable, solid, great pop, great feel. Nothing is better.
Cons: A bit heavy/ top heavy. But thats it!
by DJ1210 - Jun 01, 2012
Pros: Excellent balance, perfect pop, and the finest durability you are going to find in a wood bat. Recommended to all types of player. Has a sweet barrel and a knob that is great for bat control and base hits.
Cons: Was nervous about the barrel size at first but it didnt matter after first session of batting practice.
by H2R - Jun 04, 2012

by cswagg - Jun 13, 2012

Pros: Just got this that today and It is loaded with pop, I am very suprised on how good this bat is and how inexpensive it is, thank you Brett bros for making such a great bat and thank you justbats for selling this awsome bat for such a great price.
Cons: Nothing at all
by Morgan - Jun 21, 2012
Pros: Best wood bat I have every used. Great pop. This is the only brand I prefer to use in wood. I hit very hard from the big part of the barrell and end; it hasn't broken yet. I have tried several other wood brands but it seems Brett Bros has the best bats.
Cons: Can't find anything wrong with this bat.
by Hornets2015 - Jun 25, 2012

by RyanOliver - Jun 27, 2012
Pros: This bat is awesome! The bounce of the ball of the bat is better than most of the metal bats on my team!
Cons: I'm hitting the ball so hard the stitches are being indented on the bat!
by tommy boy - Jul 03, 2012
Pros: bat is very very durable! i have only had it for two weeks and have it about 100 pitches and have taken 10 of the handle and 4 off the end at 85mph and did not break.
Cons: stings hands and has a slippery handle but put bat tape on it and it will take it a good amount of the sting away.
by Chris - Jul 03, 2012

by FLAP2 - Jul 06, 2012

by Big Al - Aug 16, 2012
Pros: Does not crack on balls hit on the handle. Balance and feel are very comfortable affording a good sense of control.

Pros: It has a lot of pop for a wood bat. It is the best price for Maple/Bamboo bat
Cons: So far no cons
by chstiger - Aug 26, 2012
Pros: Solid, durable, great finish, has good pop for a wood bat. My son is in high school baseball and has used this bat in batting practices and training. After 5 weeks of hitting the bat literally still looks new. He had Tommy John surgery and is starting his comeback and anxious to start using it again! I will definitely be looking at a second one later this year. For the price I don't think you could get a better bat! If you are looking, this one is a definite buy!
by Joey in Columbus GA - Aug 31, 2012

Cons: None at the moment.
by Anonymous - Aug 31, 2012
Pros: great bat has a lot of pop
Cons: handle gets slippery when you sweating
by Tim Bruce - Sep 12, 2012
Pros: It's a great bat with great power!
Cons: Some of my leagues won't allow me to use it, due to it being a composite bat, it says BBCOR at the top, but then on the bat it says BESR
by Anonymous - Sep 18, 2012
Pros: great pop from a wood bat.better than bbcor composite and aluminum bats.
by hchs knights - Sep 20, 2012

by @C_Rook - Oct 02, 2012
Pros: For a wood bat, this is an amazing bat. I have been swinging this bat since apirl and nothing has changed. You can really feel the ball fly off the barrel. I have swong MANY bats in my lifetime and own over 10 wood bats right now, and this is in my top 3
Cons: if you dont like thick handels, this is a little thicker than others.

by Ron - Oct 14, 2012
Pros: Great bat, my son loves it. On a cold rainy day he doubled twice to deep right field in it's first game use. Also, has hit a few off the handle in practice that I know would have broke a regular wood bat.
Cons: None. I wish I had known about this bat before I shoveled out $300 for a Marucci.
by SteveC - Oct 25, 2012
Pros: Bought this bat for my fourteen year old. He absolutely loves this bat. He says it feels really great in his hands and is well balanced. He says he feels like he has more bat speed.

Cons: Needs to come with rubber grips to avoid serious stinging to batters hands.
by J-Lo - Mar 03, 2013
Pros: Great looking bat, less sting than my ash bat, and feels like a little bigger sweet spot, swings very smooth.
by Tony - Mar 03, 2013
Pros: Great feel. Big sweet spot. Love the pop of the maple. Looks good too. I would use it in games over most BBCOR. Have yet to use it in a game, but hit a HR with it in our intrersquad scrimmage.
Cons: Hit one off the end of the bad and it has a dent in it. Doesn't affect the performance, just soft maple. Handle is a little thin, for me because I don't wear gloves, but nothing that some tape and pine tar shouldn't fix.
by Anonymous - Mar 06, 2013
Pros: I love this bat i just got it and I had batting practice today and oh my goodness it was great I'm surprised its only $60 I was skeptic then I read reviews and said what the hey I don't regret it
by HcjRobi55 - Mar 08, 2013
Pros: Great bat. Little end heavy, but other than that, just a solid stick. Had to get it for a fall wood bat tournament and being the first time ive swung a wood bat, AMAZING.
Cons: Little end heavy. It cracked a bit on the handle and on the end of the bat.
by Javier - Mar 10, 2013
Pros: Really great bat. Has an amazing pop. If you connect very well you will hit bombs. I'm talking about Barry Bonds bombs. Beautiful look too. A+ bat. As a 16 year old baseball player I could say this has been one of my favorite bats. Outstanding.
Cons: If you take wild swings the bat will start getting weak. If you are a wild swinger this bat is not for you. Don't swing at wild pitches and you won't have any cons.
by Chaunce - Mar 11, 2013
Pros: Love the feel and durability. The knob on the end is very large, but I grew to love it. The bat felt like a dream. It felt like the entire thing was a sweet spot. I used it for practice and for almost an entire season of an adult baseball league. Overall, very durable.
Cons: The only problem is that it eventually broke. I can't be too upset. I feel like I got my moneys worth. Another teammate was using it against a pitcher throwing mid 80s and he hit one off the handle that simply cracked the bat, it didn't even completely break!
by Dan - Mar 12, 2013
Pros: Great quality bat has helped my batting.
by BaseballJosh - Mar 20, 2013
Pros: Had it for two weeks and it cracked right where the "brett" logo is. Called up Just bats and within ten minutes they sent me a new one completely free. Has amazing pop for a wood bat.
by levi - Mar 21, 2013
Pros: out of all the wood bats ive used, i like this one the best. its really strong and wont break like over bats
Cons: paint comes off easy, its a sticker for the bbcor and dont hit is with a hitting stick, it with crack it
by Gilbert - Mar 25, 2013
Pros: 2nd season with bat. Still has alot of pop. Had other bats and all broke within mid season.Have recommended to others.Great bat for money you cant go wrong with this bat
by Jaceroni - Apr 05, 2013
Pros: Crazy pop! Feels great all around during/after swing, and seems like it should last some time.
Cons: Knob is a bit large, but it's all good in the hood.
by the bat guy - Apr 05, 2013
Pros: This wood bat is high made for best. Recommended for all good baseball players.
Cons: This is a good bat but durability is low. I have watched kids hit in the batting cage and on the field and this bat is stinging players and breaking in half. But if you can master a good bat like this, get ready for a great season, or day.
by Anonymous - Apr 07, 2013
Pros: Good looking bat. My son said it feels good and seems to have good pop.
Cons: Varnish is chipping off badly. Looks like he was hitting rocks or something small, many chips in bat.
by Beautiful, well made bat. - Apr 11, 2013
Pros: Gorgeous bat. Very well built. Nicely weighted, with well above average pop.
Cons: Know is much larger than most bats, and the handle is thicker than I had anticipated.
by Anonymous - Apr 16, 2013
Pros: Good weight and sturdy. Definitely recommended.
Cons: Slippery handle. Nothing a little tape or pine tar cannot fix.
by shmo - Apr 17, 2013
Pros: Pop as good as any m9 Louisville slugger but is 10x more durable. Handle has a great feel. Pretty balenced
Cons: none so far
by Anonymous - Apr 18, 2013
Pros: Awesome bat. Like how the ball sounds off the bat
by SteveC - Apr 19, 2013
Pros: Bought this bat for my 14 year old son. He has used this bat alot ahd says this bat in his words "AWESOME". All of his teammates wants to know where he got it and the price. When he tells them the price, they all said he was lying. We told them to go to JustBats and find out themselves, now they are all believers. Great Bat.
Cons: Haven't seen any yet!! Bat is still going strong!
by Nick is my name - Apr 19, 2013
Pros: Great pop, just as good as any other BBCOR bat. I like the feel, and comfortable to swing.
Cons: Hard to grip, but I use pine tar [Tiger Stick] and it makes it really easy to hold.
by Alex - Apr 24, 2013
Pros: very nice looking, good sounding, wont break easy
Cons: top heavy, smaller barrel than i would have hoped
by BB4ever - Apr 27, 2013
Pros: Just got this bat for my birthday...WOW!! Just finished BP and no joke, this bat has major POP! Bat looks good, see cons.
by john - Apr 28, 2013
Pros: This bat is great! It has good pop and was great for my first wood bat. It has a great sound and is durable. It has a good finish on the barrel.
Cons: It has kind of a small barrel, and the sweet spot is pretty close to the end of the bat.
by Eric - May 01, 2013
Pros: Strong, good weight distribution.
Cons: Small sweet spot,
by Anonymous - May 03, 2013
Pros: Great pop. Better then our aluminum rawlings plasma bbcor. Coach and I hit with the kids yesterday and were hitting line drives to the fence and homeruns all day long. Wish i had this bat in college
by KWeb - May 06, 2013
Pros: Doesn't hurt your hands - even when hit off the end. Good pop on the sweet spot.
Cons: A little slick without gloves or tape.
by Bman - May 08, 2013
Pros: This bat was solid for my first wood bat. Great pop and light swingweight. The titanium bracelet was pretty fresh too
Cons: Kind of a small barrel
by Wood Bats ?????? - May 14, 2013
Pros: So far, so good. Using for batting practice. Wood bats only last so long but good to swing.
by YUNGANG - May 15, 2013
Pros: It's great. It has nice pop and is durable. Also is really light. I have the 33" bat and I usually use a 31", but I can't tell a difference.
Cons: Knob. I don't like the knob but for 60 bucks I can't complain.
by Spence - May 20, 2013
Pros: Good Pop Extremely Durable Looks Great
by Anonymous - May 23, 2013
Pros: Very Solid wood Good Pop Will Make a great Paractice and cage bat for a long time
Cons: wish it had a cupped end to take a little more weight off the end
by brad lee - May 25, 2013
Pros: Hits well. Great bat for the price.
by SnowMan - May 28, 2013
Pros: My 12 year old had his first AAU wooden bat tournament, his second at bat bombed a 275 foot HR. awesome pop compared to others bats.
Cons: Finish on bat was not smooth
by Pat - May 29, 2013
Pros: Great pop, even out of sweet spot. Durable.
by Solid - Jun 05, 2013
Pros: Weight perfect Look and feel great Feels like a strong bat
Cons: big knob
by Carol Gross - Jun 06, 2013
Pros: Where to begin?
Cons: What's a con?
by Anonymous - Jun 13, 2013
Pros: Huge pop!
by Jim - Jun 17, 2013
Pros: Bat has good balance and feel.
Cons: Bat started to delaminate after 2 weeks of play.
by jack - Jun 17, 2013
Pros: Used this bat in my wood bat league, hit .405 with 14 jacks in 48 games. It reinvented my swing. The barrel looks small but it has a large sweat spot. has a feeling like you didn't hit anything it just goes. Great bat already ordered two more for the season. Out performs metal BBCOR bats.
Cons: Pine tar comes off overtime...who cares.
by RArmstrong - Jun 18, 2013
Pros: Was caught reaching on a change up made solid contact and still hit a 365' double. Hit 5 singles off the handle that still got out of the infield have only had it for 6 games.
Cons: I bought the 32 and not the 33.5... I just ordered it
by Patch - Jun 24, 2013
Pros: Bat is well balanced, has excellent pop, and is built to last.
by George - Jun 24, 2013
Cons: Two hits into the game and the bat cracks. Solid hit on the first pitch and a semi-jam shot on the second. Didn't hold up as well as I thought.
by Anonymous - Jun 27, 2013
Pros: I was a firm believer that you had to spend money if you wanted good results. Boy was I wrong with this bat. I bought this bat to fill out a Christmas list when I was running out of the set amount of spending money. I knew it was not the bat my son wanted, but thought he could use it early in the season and when it broke I could get him a good one. Now I do not think I could pry it from his hands. He is smashing line drives with this bat, game after game. He has been fooled on a few pitches and taken them of the handle. Most bats would have broken, but not this one. Our team broke 8 bats this weekend all more expensive and some bought the day before the tournament. This bat is the real deal and I would recomend it to anyone. Thanks Brett Brothers for making the best bat at the best price.
Cons: It does dent and scratch some but who cares. It is not about he looks it is about the performance!
by WTF - Jul 01, 2013
Cons: This is the second Brett bat I have had that has just come unglued after a couple of games. I hit one about 1.5 inches from the end and it split in 3 different spots above the BOA wrap. Buy a D-Bat, at least it has a warranty.
by tommy - Jul 04, 2013
Pros: Was good till it broke
Cons: Broke after just 13 games. Claims of durability didn't prove true for me.
by Baseballplayer6699 - Jul 07, 2013
Pros: I got this bat at the beginning of fall and i used it through fall and the winter and it never broke. i also use it for wood bat showcases and it still has all of its pop.
Cons: the paint chips off really easily. But the wood doesn't chip.
by Anonymous - Jul 09, 2013
Pros: Lighter than expected. Great sweet spot. Great looking bat!
Cons: A little slippery, but tape fixed that.
by Cj - Jul 10, 2013
Pros: Great bat last & last, and has great pop. Got a full season with every day hitting. Just got 2nd bat as back up for Perfect Game events
Cons: Handle is slick to start with
by Tenderbuttr - Jul 14, 2013
Pros: Bat had good pop.
Cons: The bat started to show signs of trouble in the first 2 weeks of use. The dove tail joints started to show after a few at bats and then it broke in two. It only lasted 1 month and a few days of use. I was told Brett Bros started shipping their bats over seas and they started having problems with this happening.
by Longrod Von Hugendong - Jul 24, 2013
Pros: better pop that a lot of metal bats (including my demarini voodoo) Weight is very balanced so you can get a quicker swing The finish is cool Incredible durability
Cons: smaller sweet spot but the pop makes up for it
by Bob - Jul 26, 2013
Pros: I used this bat for the fist time this year and it has great "pop". I just hit my first HR (375+) with it and it felt great off the bat. batting .500 this yr with it and will by one more if/when this one ever breaks.
by bighitter15 - Jul 30, 2013
by dd - Aug 01, 2013
Pros: amazing bat very durable and solid. okay pop.
Cons: different color
by Anonymous - Aug 04, 2013
Pros: I have broken 5 wood bats this year. I found out about Brett Bros. Maple/Bamboo Wood bats from a teammate. I purchased one and have used it for a couple weeks with great results.
Cons: None so far.
by George - Aug 16, 2013
Pros: the durability is the most impressive thing about this bat. you can hit it off the end of the bat or get jammed and it wont break. The bat feels very lightweight and also looks nice. The bat has decent pop for a wood bat not the best but is good.
Cons: barrel is kind of small. Paint chips easily at least for me.
by Patrick Callaway - Aug 25, 2013
Pros: This bat is nice, and has a good sweet spot. I have had the bat for 2 weeks. It's a super bat for $60 plus I have been getting good rips off the bat. I will buy another one when it breaks.
by nick - Aug 26, 2013
Pros: great bat, very durable, chips and has break-like looks but still hits fine, Overall very good bat
Cons: very small barrel
by Jared - Sep 07, 2013
Pros: Has a good sound and seems to be durable thus far.
Cons: No color choices.
by Celo - Oct 08, 2013
Pros: Has amazing pop, as much, if not more, than a metal. Looks sick. Great feel.
Cons: Wood dents easily.
by Christian Little - Oct 10, 2013
Pros: Lasts very long. Well Balanced . Good Pop.
Cons: Cant think of any at the time.
by SwagBro - Oct 30, 2013
Pros: Brett Bros. Sick bat. So much POP. Loved swinging this stick. Went yard alllllll day.
Cons: None cons.
by Carlos Villamil - Oct 30, 2013
Pros: This bat has great pop. I have had this bat for 2 seasons already ,the bat also has a perfect balance for power and lighter swing for those power hitters and quick hands hitters. It has great feel in hands and swing. When in contact with the ball the bat has a great smooth solid feel. And lastly has a big sweet spot for them big power hitters.
Cons: Not in another color.
by bryan - Nov 02, 2013
Pros: price was good , and it looked good before we used it.
Cons: well, I know a bat doesn't have to look good to perform well, but it looks 10 years old and has only been used a few times , all the maple color is chipping off and all the bamboo color is coming off, I didn't know what to expect from a $60.00 dollar bat, I would buy a better bat next time ,kinda a waste of money ,also the free bracelet broke the first time my son tried to put it on.
by vince bell - Nov 04, 2013
Pros: so far so good
Cons: not long enough yet
by parriojas - Nov 05, 2013
Pros: The sound of a good hit is a load pop. You know its solid contact by the sound. Velocity of a well struck ball and carry distance is similar to aluminum. You will not be disappointed with this bat. The price is beyond a steal.
Cons: None so far
by Palmer - Nov 13, 2013
Pros: It has great pop and durability. Great bat to train with (smaller barrel forces you to swing for contact)
Cons: The bat is a little top heavy. It broke after 9 monthsof use in the cage only, which is still longer than most wood bats
by robbycano - Dec 25, 2013
Pros: I just got this bat today for Christmas and I went and hit with it off the tee and soft toss it is GREAT! It has a lot of pop and is super light i got a 31-28 and it feels like a -5. This bat is awesome i would recommend this to anyone. I am just planning to use this for bp or in a all wood bat tourney. It has enough pop for a wood bat to use in a game though. Overall I love this bat.
Cons: When it is brand new it looks so cool that you don't want to put pine tar or hit with it at all haha.
by A.J. Green - Dec 27, 2013
Pros: Good balance and feel with this great looking bat. Very little vibration, hard hit drives. It's a great bat while it lasts.
Cons: This bat just doesn't hold up long. Hit a few off the end and the handle starts cracking. I had three of these before giving up on them.
by Samuel Alvarado - Jan 14, 2014
Pros: Feels great in your hands and balanced
Cons: I hit one shot to outfield and looked at bat and it had like four huge cracks in the handle FIRST GAME!
by cade hartsfield - Jan 26, 2014
Pros: some good pop, and the best over all wood bat ive had. this bat just wont break
Cons: in games youll feel lots of vibration
by Brian C - Feb 13, 2014
Pros: Bought this bat for my son who is a high school sophomore, he has been using the bat for off season training and loves it. The bat has great pop and sounds awesome. This is only the first season using the bat but it seems to be holding up great.
by lee satko - Feb 22, 2014
Pros: Great feel. Nice pop. Easy to swing. Definitely recommend this bat to someone looking for a wood to swing.
Cons: Gets Knicks in it too easy. Already have a tiny dent in it after less than a week.
by You - Feb 22, 2014
Pros: Decent feel and look
Cons: No pop Don't like handle
by Arthur Baseball - Feb 23, 2014
Pros: Amazing pop, very nice weight distribution (slighty end-loaded). The fiber glass on the handle really holds this bat together for a long time
Cons: Clear coat starts to crack and the bat looks a bit deformed. Also, the barrel is small.
by Adam Knepp - Feb 24, 2014
Pros: Great pop. Great fell. Durable. Very cool looking bat. Super fast shipping and great customer service too.
by Mike - Mar 06, 2014
Pros: Everything, durable, great pop, well balanced, and looks great. Had this for a year with no problems and just ordered another in a bigger size
Cons: None after a year
by jay - Mar 12, 2014
Pros: Amazing pop and bat speed I'm hitting the ball harder than I ever have and its perfect for early spring highschool games
Cons: Only con is the finish on the bat dents a little and its not made in the USA
by Niko - Mar 16, 2014
Pros: Very good bat has a good feel and does not sting when you hit the ball.
Cons: Way to good
by Kevin - Mar 23, 2014
Pros: Hard to break, good for practice and cages when you want a wood bat among other situations. I've hit many jam shots and end of bat hits and it doesn't seem to hurt the bat at all. Has lasted 2 years with only minor damage on the barrel. Great for winter and bad weather as the bat handle is wrapped and barrel is clear coated. Still works great in games too if desired. For the price and how long it will last it is a great investment. Couldn't be happier with what I bought it for.
Cons: Doesn't have as much pop as my traditional Brett bats, but that is not why I bought it. Has chipped quite a bit from hits on seams, some denting as well. It hurts a lot if you hit the ball wrong, as does most bamboo. Use gloves if you value your hands. May want to go with the Maple master or maybe the new Deraptor (probably my next bat) if you want more pop and less sting, especially in games.
by David - Mar 23, 2014
Pros: Great Feel Extremely Durable Great Look
Cons: None so far
by Bombsquad - Mar 25, 2014
Pros: Cheaper than most woods. Very durable, had it for a year and not cracks or breaks. Great for batting practice and cage work cause it forces you to hit it directly on the sweet spot or you don't get anything out of it.
Cons: Has a VERY small barrel, it looks like the hole bat is just the handle. The barrel doesn't start until the very end and only lasts for 2 inches at best. The feel is mediocre and so is the pop. Its a good cage bat but that's about all its good for, I've used it in a game and it doesn't fair too well.
by Baller - Apr 19, 2014
Pros: Have used bat for training all winter, great pop, EXTREMELY durable. Have used it for thousands of swings and still prefer the pop over my brand new easton S1 (2013)
Cons: Paint chipped after a month
by - Oct 10, 2007
Pros: VERY STRONG BAT WORTH THE MONEY.
Cons: COULD NOT FEEL THE POP.
by K TOWN - Jun 26, 2008
Pros: This bat DOES NOT BREAK!!! No matter what you do to it it will not break. It also hits very far.
by Coach R - May 07, 2009
Pros: We bought this bat for a 13 year old team to take batting practice on cold days (to protect our game bats). The coaches also use it heavily to hit infield and outfield. After a few thousand swings by kids not used to wood bats, it is as solid as day one. After looking at how the bamboo core is made, I can't imagine it breaking. Our kids appreciate that it came in a 31 inch version.
Cons: Very slick handle. A couple of our kids would love to see a flared knob/cupped end model.
by georgiabatter - Jul 20, 2010
Pros: I'm 5'8" and got the 31". The bat feels thick and hefty but has nice balance and feel. I can really feel the ball 'deflate' when it connects on the sweet spot, and it definitely lets you know when you hit one off the tip; shocks my hands, but still drives the ball well.
Cons: Grip is a little slippery when I'm sweating.
by Sergy - May 23, 2012
Pros: GREAT BAT, Looks nice and glossy and energy towel actually works sort of like a high. Has crazy pop!
Cons: Bat came with a horribly deep dent in it but not going to bother sending it back since there are no more size 33" left in stock, and the bat does dent pretty easy, the knob also makes it kinda hard to swing at full speed but nothing a little tape or my pro-hitter cant fix!
by Anonymous - Jun 25, 2012
Pros: Solid contact when you hit with the barrel.
Cons: After I hit the ball it leaves a dent in the bat
by Bonk - Aug 03, 2012
Pros: Great bat. Great feel, good pop. Durable. Right on Brett Bros.
Cons: Barrel is a little soft, took away 1 star.
by DB 39 - Aug 04, 2012
Pros: Well balanced and light. Nice pop. Beautiful finish
Cons: Hurts like heck if you hit off the end or on the hands.
by BTREB - Aug 17, 2012

by tflow - Jun 06, 2013
Pros: Feels and looks good Good pop for wood Like the finish on handle
Cons: Too glossy
by garrett johnson - Aug 13, 2013
Pros: has amazing pop for a wood bat!!! very cheap for such an amazing bat! they could raise the price by about 50$ and it would still be cheap for the amount of pop this bat will give you!
Cons: absolutely nothing!!!!
by Raphael - Aug 31, 2013
Pros: Buy this bat. Nothing else to say...seriously.
Cons: It has scratched a bit.
by npearson, minnesota - Sep 03, 2013
Pros: Bat is durable and the ball comes off the bat very well. My son has been using this bat for 2 seasons now and it is starting to show the ware, was played at the 12 and 13 year old level.
Cons: Finish chips very easily and the knob on the handle can start to separate between the maple and bamboo layers.
by Chris - Sep 09, 2013
Pros: Nice finish. Appears durable. 15 year old son has used it for practices and BP for 2 weeks and no sign of weakness. He says it handles great and feels great.

Cons: none so far
by Reid - Oct 03, 2013
Pros: Pop is amazing, never hit the ball farther. Looks nice. Handle is a good size.
Cons: Barrel is too small, popped and flew out a lot. Slippery and needs a lot of pine tar.
by k doG - Aug 06, 2012
Pros: Great bat. Perfect bat for batting cages. Good pop and seems very durable. looks amazing
Cons: Do not expect to use this bat in games. Not only is the barrel a 2 1/2 in diameter, the length of the barrel is only about 5 inches
by PS - Oct 13, 2012
Pros: Hasn't broken yet! Good feel when you hit one off the sweet spot.
Cons: Small sweet spot.
by Austin - Mar 21, 2013
Pros: Looks nice. Balanced.
Cons: This bat is terrible. I bought this bat at the start of January for practice and BP. I estimate that I used this bat, at a maximum, 12 PRACTICES BEFORE IT BROKE!
by WayneD - Jun 24, 2013
Pros: Good price. This is an average wood bat. Through 4 games, can't judge durability. No more or less pop than other wood bats. Does have a louder sound than all bamboo bats.
Cons: Really poor quality. Lot's of gouges and dents under the finish. First one was replaced promptly, give them credit for that, but they either have poor quality control or these are factory cosmetic defects.
by Mem - Jun 25, 2013
Pros: Nice looking bat.
Cons: Maple overlay cracked on first at bat during a game. The bat had previoulsy been used during one practice hitting session. No warranty.
by - Apr 15, 2012
Pros: good looking bat with quality craftsmanship.
Cons: Alot of flex, to much for a fast power hitter. Should be a good bat for slower swings
by DK - Jul 17, 2012
Pros: looks good, good pop for composite bat,
Cons: broke and flaked within 2 weeks of me playing legion and summerball everyday. although i can still use it it's lost alot of pop and is now starting to flake really badly and split

Pros: slick looking
Cons: dont be fooled by all these reviews i used it for the first time in bp today. on the second pitch the seems indented into the bat. and the glaze is cracking

Where on the bat is the best spot to hit the ball? The side with the words/letters or the opposite side?

When hitting with wood bats the first thing the player must do is make the label (emblem on the barrel) of the bat face straight up or straight down. The areas to either side of the label on the bat is not only the hardest but also the strongest.

Is this bat considered a composite bat? I did see the response about BBCOR or BESR rated, so if this is a wood bat it should not be considered under those categories and would it be legal for high school that has a BBCOR requirement?
Asked by al on Sep 19, 2011
1. The Maple Bamboo is made up of a bamboo core (20 pieces) the runs from the handle all the way thru the barrel of the bat, and it has maple laminated onto the bamboo. So yes it is considered a wood composite. 2. The Maple Bamboo was BESR certified and has received BBCOR certification also. 3. The Maple Bamboo can be used by any high school and meets all of the requirements.

Is this bat legal for wood bat tournaments? Bc of the bamboo
Asked by Frank on May 21, 2011
It should be, unless the tournament has banned the use of bamboo bats. Not all wood tournaments are governed by the same set of rules, so your best bet would be to check with your coach or tournament director prior to making a purchase.
