The DXCFR features the USSSA 1.15 stamp and is legal for use in 2012! When you think of the best quality baseball bats on the market today, only one word comes to mind; DeMarini. Year after year DeMarini produces some of the best baseball bats available, and that holds true once again this year. One of the crown jewels in the DeMarini line for the past several years has been the CF3/CF4 family. This year's CF4 ST is going to pick up right where its ancestors left off. The CF4 ST -8 composite senior league baseball bat is designed after the original, but it has a carbon material that is 22% stronger and has an 11% longer barrel than most composite bats. The new CF4 ST contains double re-enforced vertical and horizontal weave fibers to increase durability. The new design contains the strongest and tightest composite materials combined with Silver Trace bonding agents. This process adds strength to maximize the power transfer to the barrel for increased performance. DeMarini has found that by using the extended double wall barrel design, energy can be harnessed during the transfer process. The Half & Half system redistributes weight for optimal balance, allowing players to swing faster with less effort. Half & Half means more power at the point of contact. The improved end cap helps dampen vibrations, producing a better feel during every swing. The DeMarini variegated grip gives you the most comfortable feel, allowing you to have the most control possible. When you step in the box, take a DeMarini with you and hit your way to the championship. Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: Awesome bat very balanced and feels extremely light in your hands HUGE SWEET SPOT. Great job DeMarini
Cons: very high pitched ping sound
Pros: We purchased this bat for our 13U traveling baseball team. They all love this bat. We previously purchased a different bat, which had good reviews, but the boys did not like the bat and we could not get them to use it. We set that bat back and got the CF4. This is a great bat that has a lot of pop and great balance. I would recommend this bat to anyone..
Cons: none so far...
Pros: OMG..This is AWESOME. Just got it this afternoon and used it in practice. Ball was hitting the fence for a first time use. My son is 11 y/o and with more practice and swings, i know that the ball will be over the fence quite a few times this season. Everyone including the coach tried it and it just jumped off like flies when you "shoo" them away. AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME. And yes i bought it here.
Cons: Having to share it with the team is going to be the biggest Cons...
Pros: very lite, tons of pop, my team is absolutely smoking the ball. If you can get it I would highly recommend it in order to take your teams hitting to the next level. Very large sweet spot which is good for young players.
Cons: takes some getting used to weight wise but it is still a great bat.
Pros: Best bat ever used. It has crazy pop. It feels like your'e launching the ball, not hitting it. DEMARINI has been the best for over 10 years. I have a 2006, 2007, and a 2009 demarini voodoo. All great bats with nice pop.
Cons:
Pros: i just recieved my cf4 and its amazing. well balanced, great pop, and monster sweet spot.best bat ever
Cons: nothing, its too good for cons
Pros: this bat is amazing, great pop, people say this bat takes time to break in, for me this bat waz hot out the wrapper, in my first game i went 2-2 with 2 doubles
Cons: everyone on the team wants to use it
Pros: Nice bat, balls gunna go a long way if you hit it on the sweet spot
Cons: if not hit right on the sweet spot it's going to sting and the ball will travel much less
Pros: This bat has a lot of pop. I already have 8 homeruns
Cons: Nothing
Pros: awesome bat! crazy pop right out of the wrapper. i am on an 11u travel team and this is the bat everyone on the team has been talking about. i finally got my dad to buy me the bat and i hav no regrets at all!
Cons: takes a little while to break in but after that its amazing
Pros: THIS BAT IS AWESOME HAS GREAT BALANCE,AND A TON OF POP WITHOUT QUESTION DEMARINI'S BEST BAT YET
Cons:
Pros: This bat is great. I just got the 31/23 version of it yesterday. In my first practice I hit a ball a little over 300 ft. I just came out of Little League and I'm only 5 foot 4 120 pounds. This bat isn't even broken in yet and it hits shots. I can't wait to see what it hits like when it's fully broken in.
Cons: Takes a little longer time than most bats to be broken in, but once broken, it's awesome
Pros: Hits Line Drives every time, great pop
Cons: 5 Days after i got it i found out that we couldnt use it in junior league, instead we had to use a minus 3, so make sure that you can use a -8 before u buy it.
Pros: Bat is well balanced, seems lighter than actual weight. Ball comes off bat very nice with a good sound.
Cons: The USSSA finger print was put on about 3 inches higher than in photo and was partially removed from a ball hitting that area. Placed clear shipping tape over for protection since these fingerprints have to be on bats for 2012 season.
Pros: Amazing bat, has pop right out of the wrapper,my son hit 2 bombs that night with that bat
Cons: none
Pros: amazing pop, ball just launches of the barrel, great grip, thank you demarini
Cons: takes about 200 hits to fully break it in
Pros: amazaing every1 should get this bat!!!
Cons: never nobody will!!!
Pros: BEST BAT I HAVE EVER OWNED BY FAR. I love it and recommend it to all!
Cons: none.
Pros: Bat is hot straight from the wrapper. My son is hitting the ball harder than ever now. I expect his home run count to double this year. This particular bat has the new USSSA label on it. We have owned every make and model that Demarini has made within that last 5 years, and this bat is the best one they have made! The -8 drop feels lighter than it is, and this bat is a good one for transitioning to the eventual -3 BBCOR that all players will have to go to in High School and USSSA at older levels.
Cons: Scratches and chips easily, but does not effect performance.
Pros: the CF4 is the best bat I have ever used so far.Tons of pop.I do recamend this bat to all.
Cons: Scrathces easy Dont use in bating cages
Pros: great amount of pop, very well balanced. Better than the senior Combat B2.
Cons: none
Pros: great bat! ton of pop huge sweet spot worth the money love the hub cap!!!
Cons: none!
Pros: The cf4st has incredible pop, a comfortable grip, and an even weight feel. the power is evened throughout the bat and again LEGIT POP. i love this bat and have been using it for a full year now.
Cons: none at ALL.
Pros: Amazing bat I hit 9 more homeruns with it then the bat I hadf before.
Cons: Everybody wants to use it.
Pros: 2nd CF4 for son (outgrew first). He loves the feel, balance and tranfer of power. Recommend bat pack! You get the Rival which is great in cold and cages - durable! Save $$$
Cons: CF4 - Watch outdoor temps as with all compos bats. Rival - take on handle it will let you know!
Pros: Large sweet spot! Good pop off the bat!
Cons:
Pros: We've had the bat for about 6 weeks, and it has performed well. Tons of pop on it and a huge sweet spot.
Cons: None.
Pros: Great pop, my 11 YO loves this bat. He upsized from a CF4 -11 from LL and still maintains great bat speed. Can't beat it for the price!
Cons: None
Pros: 12 yr old travel baseball player used it last weekend during a tournament and loved it! Hit with a CF3 2 yrs ago and has had a Combat B2 for the last year. Got some great hits - the other coaches had it checked twice for the USSSA stamp - probably because it is last yr.'s bat. Loved getting it on sale.
Cons:
Pros: i just revived this bat had a batting practice swings like a dream and had solid liners every swing
Cons: dont want 2 share it mine
Pros: All I can say is KA-POW!
Cons: n/a
Pros: Excellent feel and flared knob is a bonus. Very balanced and pop right out of the wrapper. sitting at 200+ cage swings and still looks great.
Cons: NONE
Pros: At list price this might be one of the best bets around, at the discounted price of $219 it is a steal. I was pretty taken back at how hot this bat is, I mean it is laser hot.! Don't worry about the extra ounces, the bat is very balanced and feels lighter than it is. No sting was a pleasant surprise also.
Cons: Other teams might be using the bat.
Pros: this is a good barrel bat little heavy but good
Cons: if kids want to use it just say I saved up to get this bat
Pros: Very nice balance and a above average sweet spot. Great pop.
Cons: USSSA 1.15 stamp wears off very easily. Bat was disqualified from last tournament because the umpires could not read the stamp. Returned to DeMarini to be restamped. Hopefully this stamp will last. DeMarini should have known the painted stamp on the barrel would wear off quickly so I'm downgrading 1 star.
Pros: Greatest bat ever! when you hit it in the sweet spot on this bat,you will know you did. greatest bat best pop.
Cons: ITS TOO GOOD FOR CONS
Pros: Really good bat. Great pop.
Cons: The USSSA stamp smeared off in batting practice.
Pros: My son had broken his CF3 after hitting his 3rd homerun of the year. Got the CF4 and he got his 4th homerun two games later.
Cons:
Pros: Nice weight balance and a lot of pop.
Cons: The USSSA 1.15 sticker rubbed off. DeMarini will fix but you have to send them the bat. Cost me $44 to send the bat back. Hopefully will only miss one weekend but extremely inconvenient. Build the cost of shipping the bat back to the manufacturer into your comparison costs.
Pros: has good design feels light very good grip
Cons: it doesnt seem to have a pop felling to it
Pros: great bat!!! a lot of pop and I would recommend it for anyone looking for a little heavier bat.
Cons: none
Pros: good
Cons: nutin
Pros: I wont say its the best bat on the market because i havent tried all the bats on the market but i will say,its a VERY good bat,it kills the ball
Cons: If you hit it on the inside of the bat it doesnt go very far but thats what the BIG BIG barrel is for
Pros: Amazing Pop Great Power Transfer Worth every penny
Cons: Little heavy for those who are a bit smaller but if you can get it around it is rewarding Price is a little high
Pros: this is the best bat i have ever owned. This bat has so much pop that literally anybody can hit a homer with it. I would definitely get this for your son.
Cons: nothing
Pros: Very balanced. feels lighter than othe -8 bats. ball jumps of bat
Cons: none
Pros: this bats is the best bat the demarini ever has made and ever will made
Cons: this bats is the best bat the demarini ever has made and ever will made
Pros: Very good sweet spot large and makes a nice sound, does not sting to hit and very good pop
Cons: None
Pros: this bat is the best bat ever i hit 300 foot home run.
Cons: none
Pros: My 13 yr old son needed travel ball bat. This bat is illegal for junior little league this year. He used Omen last year and would compare this bat to it.
Cons: Nothing, if you already know where its legal
Pros: My son had to get a new USSSA approved bat and this was a GREAT choice. He loves the pop and feel. Well balanced. Horrible bat grip so after he put on his TaterGrip it is even better!
Cons: Can't find any.
Pros: this bat is the best ever i have used the cf5 but this one is the best 18 home runs last year and this year 6. it is the best.
Cons: none
Pros: it has a lot of pop the grip is sticky so you can hold on to it better
Cons: it dose not do well when you hit it of the end and if you hit itto close to the handle it will hurt your hands
Pros: great bat has tons of pop and even better i got it for sale
Cons:
Pros: This is the best bat ever... I am the a okay hitter on my team but when i used this i could kill the ball i could hit it to the over the out fielders like nothing.
Cons: NONE
Pros: very good bat lots of pop great grip but i bought this bat about three months ago and then it cracked!! so i just bought he new cf5 and its just as good or better
Cons:
Pros: I purchased this bat for my 13 year old who is playing on a club team and so far we don't have any performance issues with the bat. My son is lead-off and the bat has not impacted his success in this role.
Cons: During the first two weeks of owning the bat, the USSSA stamp made contact with a ball and it smugged off, so we have to send it back for a new stamp. I spoke to a DeMarini rep and she stated they new they had this problem with the bat. The bat has a lot of graphics and they are not holding up well.
Pros: This is the best bat on the market. You can save about $100 if you buy this instead of the cf5. This bat is also much better than the cf5. It has great pop. the ball launches off the bat. It lasts for a long time until it loses it "Pop" or cracks. Do not use in weather under 60 degrees. my friend did and it cracked. I hit 6 HRs with this bat and did better than ever before. If your looking for a good and cheap ( for full composite) bat look no further!!
Cons: NONE EVER!!
Pros: Nice feel, nice balance
Cons: Faulty material, composit chipped from normal ball play, sent into Demarini and did not honor their warranty, claimed that it was not from normal ball play, Will never buy Demarini again!
Pros: great pop good balance
Cons:
Pros: Amazing with tons of pop
Cons: ZERO
Pros: This bat is a sick!! When you hit the ball right on the barrel, it goes flying!!!! There is no shock on the barrel at all when you hit it there. This is the best bat I have ever used in my life!!!!
Cons: It is pretty expensive. It is definetly worth the price. If you hit the ball on the silver and white part above the handle, you hit a weak grounder. That is what the big barrel is there for!!!!
Pros: none
Cons: IT BROKE AFTER TWO PRACTICES
Pros: Bat came on time. Looks good and has the USSSA stamp so good for the 2012 season. It's going to be a Christmas present so can't say much yet about how it works. Will be glad to post again after we start hitting with it.
Cons: None Yet.....
Pros: very great bat and is awesome!!!!!
Cons: non
Pros: This bat is absolutely amazing. Great Pop. I have never used a better bat.
Cons:
Pros: light . nice pop looks sharp
Cons: none realy.
Pros: great bat
Cons: purchased to have the USSSA stamp and after one use it is smeared almost completely off.
Pros: Tons of pop, large sweetspot, a very good bat
Cons: scrathed easily, and i'm sorry "mp warrior" but i like the 2009 CF3 much better
Pros: The new cf4 st is the best bat on the market. Great pop with larger sweet spot. DEMARINI is the best.

Are 32 inch 29 weight bats legal in middle school if they are not BBCOR? The CF4 is the bat on topic right now.
Asked by neema z on May 10, 2012
You will have to ask your coach that question. Middle School leagues are not governed by a national set of rules and vary from district to district. Many middle schools follow high school rules in regards to -3 bats, but I know of a few that operate independently and have their own set of rules.

Are these two bats approved for Babe Ruth?
Asked by Hively on May 10, 2012
Unfortunately, the CF4 is a composite big barrel bat that is illegal in Babe Ruth. I am unable to see what the other bat is your are referring to. Under Babe Ruth rules, if a bat has a composite barrel, it must be an Adult BBCOR certified bat.

The CF3 is an old model that has been discontinued. Honestly though, nothing is different between the CF3 and CF4 besides the paint job.

What is the difference between the 2011 Demarini CF4 ST and the 2012 Demarini Cf5 for senior legaue, because I am tryind to decide which one to get?
Asked by scott on Apr 20, 2012
Performance and design wise, there isn't much of a difference between the DeMarini CF4 ST and the 2012 DeMarini CF5. The CF4 uses a Silver Trace bonding agent in the composite and the CF% uses TR3 Strut composite.

It's my first year of Babe Ruth baseball and I was wondering if it is legal?
Asked by kevin on Apr 19, 2012
The CF4 DXCFR is not legal in Babe Ruth. They have deemed youth big barrel bats with composite hitting surfaces illegal. If you want to use a bat with a composite barrel, it must be an adult BBCOR bat.

Where can I find an official statement/guideline that I can take to my league stating that the USSSA 1.15 stamp is acceptable for the juniors (little league) in 2012? They're asking for a BBCOR stamp on anything with a composite handle/barrel. Want to make sure I'm clear before buying. His two older Voodoos are out...Thx.
Asked by dave on Mar 13, 2012
If you are wanting to use a composite barrel bat in Junior Little League, it must be a -3 BBCOR certified bat. All alloy and alloy barrel/composite handle bats can be any drop and must have the USSSA stamp, but not be BBCOR certified. In the case of this particular bat, you would need to purchase the adult -3 BBCOR approved bat in order for it to be legal for use in your league.

How does this bat compare to the Omen? I know its heavier but I have a drop 12 Omen and I had a drop 5 Rival for CFBL. I got a defective S1 that made a funny plunking sound every time I hit it.
Asked by christian on Mar 08, 2012
The DeMarini CF4 ST will perform very similarly compared to the Easton Omen. Both bats are two-piece composite designs and are balanced. Each one will have pretty good pop as well.

I'm a little nervous that the 1.15 sticker might come off. Should I be, and should I put tape over it?
Asked by kman on Mar 08, 2012
We have had feedback the sticker has been rubbing off. DeMarini is aware of this issue and will take back the bat and re-stamp it should this occur. We suggest using clear tape over the stamp to avoid the issue.

For those that say this bat has an older USSSA 1.15 stamp but is still ok for 2012, can you tell me where to find this in the USSSA rules? What I've read is very explicit that ALL bats 2012 forward must have the NEW stamp, and I saw no mention of grandfathering this or any bat with the old stamp.
Asked by batter-up on Jan 06, 2012
The link is http://www.usssa.com/usssa/usssa-general/BaseballBatAnnouncement4-22-11.pdf. Again, this is legal for 2012 in USSSA.
K.B. Expert · Jan 06, 2012
Yes or no, if I bought this bat today Jan 6 2012, will it have the "NEW USSSA 1.15 STAMP" on it? Previous answers are conflicting. Grandfathering doesn't count, i want to know if it is the most current or not.

The older CF4's didn't have the USSSA stamp. The CF4 we have in stock now do have the new USSSA stamp.

Asked by nrocco on Jan 05, 2012
Senior league bats are not BBCOR certified, only adult sizes. This bat has the older 1.15 BPF stamp on it, that is being grandfathered in until 2013.
Linda Expert · Jan 05, 2012
i purchased this bat in june of 2011 and i found out 2 months later that it would be banned without the usssa badge. can the bat be sent in to be certified for use in 2012. this is a awesome bat that really changed my sons hitting. He went from good hits to out of the park hits.
Asked by tom on Jan 04, 2012
This bat is marked with the usssa 1.15 bpf mark, just not the most recent watermark. The information given to us is the newest stamp is ibedded in the bat and bats are not allowed to be sent in to be marked. That said, they also grandfathered in the usssa marking you have for 1 yr. in 2013 all bats will be required to have the official watermark. So even though you don't have the official mark, the marking you do have is legal for 2012.

where is the usssa stamp
Asked by trent on Dec 30, 2011
This is a 2011 model that was produced before the new stamp was required. It does however, say 1.15 BPF which will be grandfathered in for 1 yr. In 2013, ALL bats will be required to have the USSSA stamp.
Linda Expert · Dec 30, 2011
It would really help if you would post a picture of the USSSA BPF 1.15 mark on this bat. The USSSA rules are very clear, without the new USSSA mark on the taper of this bat it will be illegal for 14U and under players. Would love to buy the bat - its a good price, but if its illegal it's worthless...Thanks

Will this bat perform better once it is broken in?
Asked by bob on Dec 21, 2011
Yes. Composite bats will continue to perform better as the composite material is broken in.
K.B. Expert · Dec 22, 2011
Does this bat need a breaking in period? Also, why dont alloy barrel bats need a breaking in period?
Asked by joe on Dec 21, 2011
Composite bats to require a break in period. You will need to take about 100-200 swings and rotate the barrel about a quarter of an inch to break in the bat. Composite materials are like trampolines, the material is very tight, but the more you use them the farther the ball will travel.

My son plays in a Little League chartered league (Williamsport rules); we don't deviate from williamsport rules locally; so it's strictly williamsport governed. this year, he will move to junior league as a 13 yr old. the LL website has approved bats, but they seem to be -3s? also, the cf4 model number they list is different than your model number. so - question - do you know if this bat on your website is approved for little league play for 2012?

The DeMarini CF4 ST has great pop. The CF4 was one of the hottest bats on the market last year and is still one of the best bats out there. The composite material that is used in this bat is going to be top of the line and is very durable.

The DeMarini CF4 ST is a two-piece composite and the DeMarini Voodoo is a two-piece hybrid that has an alloy barrel and composite handle. The CF4 tends to have a little more pop because of the composite barrel. The CF4 will require a break in period.

The only thing we can tell you as of right now is that the DeMarini CF4 ST is legal for 2012. There is no way for us to know at this point if anything will change for those seasons, but as of right now it is legal.
Derek Expert · Nov 27, 2011
According to DeMarini, the CF4 2012 with the USSSA stamp is "different" from the 2011 CF4. Consequently, they wont and cant stamp the 2011 model with the USSSA stamp. If this is true, why are you using the 2011 reviews for the 2012 model with the USSSA stamp?
Asked by Hot-Lanta on Nov 25, 2011
The way it was explained to us was, the older USSSA stamp came out before the league came up with the new stamp. As such to be fair to the manufacturers for the multitude of rule changes lately, the old stamp is to be grandfathered in. But check with your league rep to be sure.

The DeMarini CF4 ST is a Senior League baseball bat. It is USSSA 1.15 BPF approved and legal for Youth play as long as your league allows a 2 5/8" barrel. The CF4 is not legal for softball play.
Todd Expert · Nov 20, 2011

I went out to the warehouse and grabbed a DeMarini CF4 ST to inspect it, it does have the USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp on it, not the Pony or the year stamp. Haven't seen any bats with those markings yet. If they just passed the ruling, the manufacturers probably are working to get some out now.

I thought this bat was a 2010 or 2012 model well before the USSSA new 1.15 BFP tag was required. However, Justbats.com says it does have the stamp. What happened? Demarini just added the stamp to new bats because they already complied with USSSA requirements, or did they change the bat to make it compliant?
Asked by Marco on Aug 06, 2011
The DeMarini CF4 Senior League Bats were manufactured well before USSSA came out and said they were going to require the BPF 1.15 stamp on all Senior League bats. I'm not 100% sure if the CF4s would have been BPF 1.15 certified, but I assume they would have been. Instead of reproducing the CF4s, DeMarini just rolled out their new CF5s with the stamp.

Is the a bat approved for Juniors in Little League for 2011?
Asked by Jean on Mar 08, 2011
This question would definitely be better answered by your coach or league official. We are not a governing body so it is difficult for us to say without hesitation that any particular model is approved or not approved. It seems now more than ever that each league has their own guidelines to follow. We just don't want to misquote any information and therefore, a league official will be able to know exactly what is needed for that individual league.
Jeff Expert · Mar 08, 2011
It really depends on what your league says is "legal". This bat has not been banned, but you should check with your league or coach to make sure.
