Review Summary

DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC
4.806452 based on 31 ratings. 31 user reviews.

New for 2013! The Half and Half bat that put DeMarini on the map returns this season and it's as mean as ever! Players have been crushing the ball for years with their DeMarini Vexxum due to its heavy-hitting, high-quality design. The Vexxum's power starts with the C6 Composite handle that has a wider weave and stiff feel for the powerful feel you desire while still maintaining a light swing weight. Joined to the C6 handle is an aluminum barrel constructed from DeMarini's new X10 Alloy. X10 features a proprietary blend of alloy agents and is finely tuned to give the Vexxum the thinnest, lightest, and strongest barrel walls possible. Its Longbarrel design gives the Vexxum the largest possible hitting surface so that players can do the maximum amount of damage swinging the bat. The sweetspot on the X10 Alloy Longbarrel is enhanced through the use of Half and Half technology that provides a burst of ball-launching energy every time contact is made. The end result of this design is MAD POP. Taper Ring Technology is also added to the Vexxum to achieve BBCOR standards WITHOUT blocking the sweetspot! The Vexxum is then topped off with an N2M End Cap that is scientifically tuned to absorb vibration so that players can swing away and never be slowed down. DeMarini: Born Hardcore! The Vexxum is BBCOR Certified and legal for high school and collegiate play. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: This bat has an amazing feel and a great pop. I was in a sort of a slump and when I took this up to the plate a batted 100% that day! This is the best bat I've used ever.

Cons: A little end heavy for power hitters. Run a little heavy so if ur a small guy like me and you use a 32, try the 31

by Big Show - Aug 29, 2013

Pros: I have to be honest. I first used this bat in batting practice and I was lining the ball to the corners and popping up. However, once I broke the bat in a little bit and got a good feel for it, it's amazing. I love the feeling of the sweet spot and there is zero vibration. Ive read reviews saying that the voodoo seems to be the bat for power hitters and their wrong. If you cant hit a homerun with this bat then there is something wrong with your mechanics.

Cons: Paint chips off really easily. Its a baseball bat though...

by Bud - Mar 17, 2013

Pros: Got this for my son, he's 13, got the 32.5" size. He likes it a lot. He says it feels good. The first bat came in with a defect. It looked like a cut-off wheel bumped the head before the graphics were applied. Www.justbats.com was on top of it with a new bat delivered the next day. The customer service doesn't get any better than that. So far the ball has been flying off of the bat. Monster hits dropping near the fence with me soft tossing to him. I can't wait to see where they go when the pitches start coming in.

Cons: Other than the defect at delivery, the new bat was perfect.

Pros: This is a great bat. Balanced and with a large sweet spot. With the 2013 model, DeMarini has worked through the issues which plagued the early BBCOR bats.

Cons: If you can't hit with the 2013 Vexxum, you can no longer use the "it's a BBCOR bat" excuse.

by Two Seam - Aug 18, 2013

Pros: A great bat. Being in California, an early BBCOR adopter, we had to endure the early BBCOR bats in 2011 that had all the feel and pop of broomsticks. The second generation in 2012 was better, but with the 2013 Vexxum, DeMarini produced a really good bat. Great pop, big sweet spot and very durable.

Cons: None!

88535

Do you know if it is printed or labeled somewhere on the bat 1.15 BPF?

The DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR (DXVNC) features the BBCOR .50 certification stamp and does not have any 1.15 BPF rating anywhere on the bat.

87660

I'm 5'6.5" weighing 115 lbs. and still growing a lot. Would a 33" 30 oz. be alright?

Based on your current height and weight we recommend a 30" DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR (DXVNC). The biggest we recommend is a 32".

86084

I'm 14 5,10 135 pounds what bat would you suggest for me

Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 32" DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR (DXVNC). For more information sizing, check out our Bat Coach: http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/

84828

Which bat has a lighter swing weight the 2013 DeMarini Vexxum or the 2014 Easton S500?

The 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR (DXVNC) has a slightly end loaded feel The 2014 Easton S500 is more balanced. However, the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) is balanced.

84826

Is this bat a very balanced bat or is it end heavy?

The DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR (DXVNC) Adult model that you are looking at has a slightly end loaded feel. The 2014 model of the Vexxum (DXVXC) is considered more balanced.

83970

What bat is the better pick, the 2013 Vexxum or Rawlings 5150?

I would recommend the DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR (DXVNC) if you are a contact hitter. The two-piece design on the Vexxum will add more trampoline effect off the barrel, which the contact hitters prefer. If you are a power hitter I suggest the 2013 Rawlings 5150 (BBCA2) since it is a one-piece design that power hitters prefer.

83889

I am 5'10" & 190lbs with fast bat speed. What length and weight should I get?

Typically for a player of this height and weight we would suggest a 33 inch bat. The weight of the bat is dependent on a players strength and comfort level but high school and collegiate play require a -3 length to weight ratio. For a 33" bat it must weigh 30 oz.

83743

I'm 14. Could I use this bat for my rec team?

It really depends on the specific requirements of the league you are playing in. I would ask a coach or league official what requirements you need prior to making a purchase. But this DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: (DXVNC) Adult bat is BBCOR certified which is the requirement for high school and collegiate play. At your age, this bat could definitely be a possibility for you.

82105

I'm fifteen, freshman 5'5 1/2". I was wondering what size I should get?

Answer Question

The correct size is determined by your height and weight. To select the correct size of 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR (DXVNC) you need we recommend using our bat coach. Here is the link: http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/

I am 14 and a freshmen. I am 135 pounds and 5 foot 8 inches. I was wondering if I should get the 32 inch or 33 inch and should I get the 2013 model or 2014 model Vexxum?

Based on your height and weight, we recommend a 31" or a 32" model in the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) Adult. The 33" or 34" models in the 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR (DXVNC) Adult might be a little too big for you at this time.

78194

I am 14 and looking for a bat for high school. I am 5'11" and about 165 lbs. I have used a 32'' for a long time and I saw that this came in a 32.5. I was wondering if I should go with a 32, 32.5, or 33? I am mostly a gap to gap hitter with some power.

Based on your height and weight, we would recommend getting the 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult in a 32'', but you could consider going up to a 32.5'' or 33'' if you are able to swing a 32'' well. For more information on sizing please visit our Bat Coach at http://www.justbats.com/bat-coach/

Will there be a senior league model approved for Babe Ruth Baseball?

The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum: DXVXR Senior League is going to be legal for Babe Ruth 13-15. Any league Major 70 and under will require a 2 1/4'' barrel.

71833

I am 6 feet tall and weight 200 pounds straight power. Power batter bat?

The 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult is a balanced two-piece bat and is designed for a contact hitter. The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo BBCOR: DXVDC Adult is an end loaded bat, better suited for a power hitter.

63248

What is the difference between the alloy in the 2012 an 2013?

The 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult uses new X10 alloy for improved performance and durability.

62585

I am a 14 years old, 5'10" and I weigh 150 lbs. I'm a power hitter (Not majorly) but I also bat for contact and average. What three choices of a -3 BBCOR would you recommend to me?

The 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult bat would be a good selection. There is also the newer 2014 BBCOR version, 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC Adult. It has a lighter swing weight than the 2013 model. Also, DeMarini makes a very balanced fully composite bat called the 2013 DeMarini CF5 BBCOR: DXCFC Adult.

62550

Does the 2013 Vexxum have a longer barrel than the 2012 version?

No. The 2013 Vexxum will have the same length barrel as the 2012 model.

62061

What is the difference between this bat and the old Vexxum BBCOR bat?

The 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult bat features the newer X10 Alloy material in its barrel while previous versions had the SC4 Alloy in their barrels.

60264

I'm 6' tall and weigh 185 lbs. I'm a power hitter. Would the 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR or 2013 Easton S1 BBCOR be better for me?

Both the Easton S1 and DeMarini Vexxum are balanced bats designed for contact hitters. If you are a power hitter I would consider the Easton XL1 or DeMarini Voodoo as they are end loaded.

60189

Does this bat have the same pop as the 2014 demarini vexxum?

Yes, but the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum will be more balanced because of the NVS barrel technology.

59932

My son is 13 and will use a BBCOR bat this fall. He is 5' 9" & weighs around 100 lbs (tall & thin). What is a good BBCOR bat for him, length and weight wise?

Based off the size of your son he needs to be using a balanced model bat. The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum is a very balanced bat and would be great for your son. He should be using a 32" 29 oz. bat.

59820

I'm 12, 5'1" and 120 lbs. Last year I used a -8, 31" 23 oz. Marucci and I am getting ready to move to BBCOR. Should I get a -10 or a -5 2014 Vexxum?

Based on your age and transitioning to BBCOR, I would recommend the -5 model.

59622

What is the difference between the 2013 DeMarini Vexxum and the 2014 model?

The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum is more balanced because of the new NVS barrel technology.

59573

My son just turned 15 years old, is 5'10", 185 lbs, a strong contact hitter who prefers an end loaded bat (used an Easton XL2 this year). Now facing faster pitching, what bat would you recommend (Vexxum vs. Voodoo, 32 vs. 33 etc)?

The 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult is a very balanced bat and would be best when facing faster pitching. The 2014 DeMarini Voodoo is end loaded and better for a power hitter. Based on his height and weight we recommend a 33" 30 oz. bat.

58666

Which is better the DeMarini Voodoo or DeMarini Vexxum?

Both the Vexxum and the Voodoo will use the same X10 alloy in the barrel. The Voodoo will have a larger sweet spot with a slight end load design. The Vexxum is going to be one of the most balanced bats on the market.

56614

I am 14 and use a -3 BBCRO Easton. It is very top heavy. Even my coach says it is. It is a 30" 27 oz. I am 5'5" and weigh 120. Is a 32" 29 oz. to big for me? I usually get doubles and singles. Would this bat be to big?

The 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult is also slightly end loaded. The new 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR: DXVXC Adult is very balanced and would be a better option if do not like the end loaded feel. Based on your height and weight we recommend a 31" 28 oz. bat.

55370

I'm trying to decide between this bat, the Easton S1 and the Louisville Slugger EXOGRID 3. I'm 13 and a very good contact hitter but I want to hit the ball as far as I can.

The 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult and the Easton S1 are both great for contact hitters. The 2013 DeMarini Vexxum is more end loaded, better suited for a contact hitter with some power.

54408

Is this bat a top heavy bat? Or is it heavier at the handle?

The 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult bat will be balanced and have a slight end load. It is a two-piece bat. It will feature a composite handle and an alloy barrel.

54010

Does this bat have a USSSA 1.15 stamp of certification?

The 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult has the BBCOR stamp of certification. As of January 1, 2012, USSSA requires big barrel bats to either have the new USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp, be a wood bat or be a qualified BBCOR bat, as the Vexxum is. You can find more information about that on USSSA's site: http://www.usssa.com/usssa/usssa-general/NewUSSSABaseballBatMarks.pdf

52710

What is the difference between this 2013 Vexxum and the new 2014 Vexxum?

The 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult will be more end loaded than the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR. The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS uses new technology for a more balanced swing weight.

52626

I'm not the biggest kid and I have to switch over to a BBCOR bat. Would this or the 2014 Vexxum be a better choice?

The 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult is slightly end loaded. The 2013 Vexxum NVS BBCOR is more balanced and would be best for a player who is just starting to use a BBCOR bat.

51396

I'm a power hitter and have a quick swing. Should I get this bat or 2014 DeMarini Vexxum?

Both are great bats. The new NVS barrel design on the 2014 DeMarini Vexxum will provide for a lighter swing weight.

51297

Is this a double barrel?

The 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult is not a double wall bat.

50011

Is this bat end loaded?

The 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC isn't the most balanced bat, but it isn't endloaded either. A stronger hitter would probably say it feels well balanced, where a hitter who doesn't have above average strength would probably say it feels a little endloaded.

49475

Do you need to break in this bat, or any half and half bats in general?

No, the 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult bat features an alloy barrel so it will not require a break in period. Only bats that are composite barreled will require a break in period.

No, the 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult bat features an alloy barrel so it will not require a break in period. Only bats that are composite barreled will require a break in period.

46472

Do you have this bat in a 32" 27 oz? My son is looking for a bat to last two years and next year he is required to have a -5.

Yes we do have the 2013 DeMarini Vexxum in a -5. The model number will be DXVX5.

45611

Which is the better bat for a contact hitter? The 2012 Easton S2, 2012 Vexxum, 2012 Voodoo, or the 2013 Vexxum? Which bat will give me the most bang for my buck?

The 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult bat, the 2012 Vexxum, 2012 Voodoo, and Easton S2 will all be created the same. They will feature the composite handle and alloy barrel. None will require any period of break-in. The Voodoo will have an end loaded barrel heavy feel that most contact hitters do not prefer. My choice would be the S2. The balance will be more evenly distributed throughout the entire bat. Making the swing weight feel very light and the M.O.I. be very low.

44336

My son is 14 and has never used a drop 3 bat. He is 5'11, 135 pounds and has a quick bat but not alot of power. Is this a good bat for him?

Yes, the 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult baseball bat would be a very good choice. It is a balanced bat and that should make the transition into a drop 3 easier. I would recommend a 32" 29 oz. bat for him.

44332

My son is 13 yrs old and has pretty quick swing. This will be his first season to swing -3 bat. Would the DXVNC feel too end loaded?

The 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult will have an end loaded swing weight. For a player making the transition to a BBCOR it might be a little heavy. We recommend the 2013 DeMarini CF5 BBCOR: DXCFC which has a more balanced swing weight.

42621

My son is 14, 5'4" and 130lbs. What size bat do you recommend? He used a 31 drop 5 last year and we were considering moving to the 32 drop 3. He does not have to use bbcor yet.

Based on his size, a 31" model of the 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC is recommended.

42555

My son is 5'9" and weighs 140lbs. He has what has been called "a quick swing". He already uses the 2012 32" Vexxum...Can he go to the 33" to slow the swing and give him more outside plate hitting?

A 32" model is recommend based on his size, but if you are looking for more plate coverage, the 33" model would be an excellent choice.

41359

I'm 13 years old, 5ft, 8in and 150lbs. What size bat? I play 13U.

Based on your height and weight we recommend a 32" 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC.

40244

I am going to be 13 years old, 5' 7", and 118 lbs. I have okay bat speed. What size 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR should I get? Is this a balanced bat?

I would suggest using a 30" 27 oz., or a 31" 28 oz. The 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC Adult has more of an end loaded feel.

40239

I'm 13 and 5"9 and 135lbs. What size should I get?

A 32" model of the 2013 DeMarini Vexxum BBCOR: DXVNC is recommended based on your size.

39121

Im 12 in a month I will be 13 am 5-7 116 pounds what size bat should I get?

Based on your height and weight, a 30" Adult BBCOR bat is recommended.

39120

Do you know which bat is better Vexxum 2013 or Louisville Slugger Omaha TPX 2013 ?

Unfortunately, neither is proven to be better as it all depends on the hitter and what type of bat they have used in the past with the most success. When in doubt, it's always recommend that a player stick with the same type of bat they have used in the past with the most success. In doing so, the player is much, much more likely to have continued success at the plate.
