Cons: Nothing serious.
by Jared - May 17, 2012
Pros: I love it it was easy to break in and easy to hit bombs in high school with
Cons: none
by Dan Brown - Apr 16, 2012
Pros: No idea. Bat was only used in 2 games for 4 at bats.
Cons: Nike customer service. My son used the bat in two games. During the second game the bat started making a high pitch ping noise when he hit the ball. The umpire deemed the bat illegal and said there was something wrong with the BBCOR. We'd heard of others having a similar issue and tried to get Nike to do something. Had to send the bat back twice only to have Nike say there is nothing wrong. So now we have a $300 paperweight and a letter from Nike saying there is nothing wrong the bat. Very dissatisfied with Nike Customer Service.

Our team has this bat as a team bat. So far i have been crushing the ball with it, but i was wondering if it will last the whole season and into summer with myself and another using it in games and in practice? i am debating whether or not to buy my own bat for just myself.
Asked by JoeyPap on Mar 27, 2012
No matter what bat it is, I always recommend trying to avoid that "team bat" status. If you and your teammate both use it in games and practice...just think...that's double the usage and it's lifespan will be reduced because of it. If it doesn't last a full season (which it may or may not) it is covered under a one year warranty through Nike and they will be able to replace it for you. I always liked it when my bat was "My Bat"

1. Are in major colleges using the CX2 BBCOR bat in the spring of 2012? 2.What is the advantage of the 2012 CX2 over the AeroMC2?
Asked by spurling on Mar 06, 2012
Last year, Collegiate teams such as USC, Miami, Alabama, Georgia and Kentucky used Nike's line of Aero BBCOR bats. The CX2 is a full composite bat (which has the tendency to outperform alloy). The MC2 has an alloy barrel with composite handle.
· Mar 06, 2012
What's better the MC2 or 2012 Voodoo for contact hitters? They're the same price?
Asked by jr on Mar 06, 2012
Wow, these are two very popular BBCOR bats. Picking between these will be very tough to do. They both have alloy barrels and composite handles making them a two piece bat which favor contact hitters. Having to choose will be based more on what you like as the player. They both have durable barrels and balanced feels, they are very similar bats.

What's the difference between the Nike MC2, M1, Fuse, and CX2?
Asked by on Feb 17, 2012
The Nike MC2 is a two piece hybrid design. The Nike M1 is a one piece all alloy design. The Nike fuse is a one piece all alloy design as well. The Nike CX2 is a two piece full composite.
· Feb 18, 2012
Should I get the Nike MC2 or the new EXOGRID2?
Asked by jbcollins11 on Feb 16, 2012
That really depends on what kind of hitter you are, or if you prefer a one or two piece bat. The EXOGRID2 is a one piece alloy design, while the Nike MC2 is a two piece hybrid alloy barrel/composite handle design. Usually power hitters prefer the one piece design since it is pretty stiff and helps with their hits, while contact hitters prefer the flex that is offered with a two piece design. Since both bats have an alloy barrel, the "pop" off the bats will be pretty similar. Both are great bats and you can't really go wrong with either.
· Feb 16, 2012
which on is better aero fuse mc2 or the cf5.
Asked by Mr.Clutch on Feb 06, 2012
Both bats are good, but designed very differently. The MC2 is a two piece bat with an alloy barrel and composite handle. The CF5 is going to be a two piece all composite bat. The MC2 will be hot out of the wrapper and the CF5 will take some time to break in.
· Feb 07, 2012
can this bat be used in 50degree or cooler temps
Asked by nate on Feb 06, 2012
While every bat can be used in cooler temperatures, it is normally not recommended because it can affect the durability of any bat.
· Feb 06, 2012
A higher number of damaged bats are reported when used in these cooler temperatures, so we do not recommend to use this bat in temperatures below 50-55 degrees.

I have swung the Easton S2 and i liked it alot. How does this compare in terms of pop and performance. I am 6"2 and 180 pounds in high school. I have power but usually hit long line drives. Would this bat fit this want more than the S2?
Asked by JHIGHBALL on Jan 04, 2012
Either bat will be a good choice. The Aero has good pop to it and seems to be a very durable bat. The S2 is very similar and will have a balanced weight similar to the Aero.

I have swung an Omen, Rip-It, Voodoo, and CF5 and to me they are all end loaded way to much for me. I am 6'2 230 power hitter and I want the most balanced bat in the game do you think this bat is more balanced than any of the ones that I swung?
Asked by Victor Diaz on Dec 22, 2011
I'm a little surprised by the Omen being end heavy. But the Voodoo and CF5 I agree. The Nike is a nicely balanced bat.
· Dec 22, 2011
We have narrowed our choices down to 3 bats. The Nike Aero MC2, Rip it Prototype or the Marruci Black. What are your suggestions, pros/cons of the 3 bats?
Asked by sajb99 on Dec 21, 2011
The MC2 is a 2 piece hybrid, with a composite handle and alloy barrel. It has the long barrel design but has a nice balance to it. The Rip It is a 1 piece all alloy design, so it will swing and hit quite different from the MC2. It will have a slightly stiffer flex to it. The Marucci Black is a 2 piece hybrid, with the alloy barrel and composite handle also. It has a nice balance to it also. All 3 offer something a little different, so it will come down to what type of hitter you are, contact or power.

Whats better the Nike aero MC2, Rip it Prototype or the Marruci Cat 5?
Asked by #14 on Sep 17, 2011
Each bat has it's benefits. The MC2 is a balanced two piece composite handle, alloy barrel hybrid. The Rip It Prototype is a one piece all alloy design. Vibration reduction in the handle. The Cat 5 is also a one piece all alloy design with a nice balance and large sweet spot. All three are great bats, just a matter of what your preference is.

whats the diffrence between the this bat which is 2 piece and the 1 piece?
Asked by unknown on Aug 21, 2011
The two-piece bat will have more flex often preferred by contact hitters looking to generate a little more power. The one-piece bat is stiff and won't have as much flex. One-piece bats are often preferred by power hitters.

My question is this bat better or worse than the Rawlings 5150 Alloy BBCOR: BBCA Adult? I'm still looking at bats but these are my favorite bats (it will probably come down to these bats)
Asked by rossfter on Aug 04, 2011
This is going to be one of the better BBCOR bats that we have. This bat is a two piece bat that will be more for a power hitter. The two piece design will not have as much flex as a one piece design.

How would this bat compare to last years voodoo because they are both half and half right?
Asked by bballshortie on Jul 24, 2011
Yes. Both the Voodoo and Nike BT0633 have alloy barrels and composite handles. There are some differences in the exact materials and manufacturing processes, so they aren't the exact same. The Nike BT0633 is one of the best BBCOR bats I've hit with. The Voodoo shouldn't be overlooked though and is right up there in terms of performance. The Nike felt very balanced and really good when I was swinging it.

hello how does the nike mc2 compare to the 2012 demarini voodoo is it better or worse and what are your suggestions of bbcor bats for high school league
Asked by mike on Jun 12, 2011
The MC2 was one of the better BBCOR bats I've hit with. I also really liked the Voodoo BBCOR, but it felt really good to swing the MC2. I may give the MC2 a slight edge, but the Voodoo isn't far behind for me. I few other great BBCOR bats I swung and got feedback on are the Combat B3 and 52 Caliber, the Easton Omen and Rip-It Prototype.
· Jun 14, 2011
what is the difference between the m1 and m2 and what are some advantages and disadvantages of each one?
Asked by billybo on Jun 09, 2011
The Nike Aero MC2 is a two piece bat with an alloy barrel and composite handle. The Nike Aero M1 is a one piece all alloy bat. The MC2 will have more flex to it and is often preferred by players who may not generate as much power. The extra flex with create more bat head speed through the hitting zone and my add a little extra something to the player's swing. Most of the time, a stiff one piece bat liket he M1 is preferred by stonger, power hitters who don't necessarily need to generate more bat head speed.
