How does this bat compare to the youth Velo? Specifically the size of the sweet spot?
Asked by CC on Feb 28, 2014
The Rawlings VELO: (SLVEL5) Senior League is going to be a one-piece design with 5150 alloy which will increase the trampoline effect and pop off of the bat. The sweet spot will be very defined and powerful using this type of material. The 2014 Easton S400: (YB14S400) Youth will also have a solid sweet spot, but will use 7056 aircraft alloy which will help provide a faster swing speed rather than create a larger sweet spot.

Will this be a good bat for my big, 5 year old (47" tall, 57 lbs.)? He uses an old Easton Reflex 27/14 now, and I'm considering getting him the 27/14.5 when available.
Asked by BBallMama on Aug 13, 2013
The 2014 Easton S400: YB14S400 Youth features a balanced swing weight that would be similar to the Reflex model he is currently swinging. Based on his height and weight, the 27" model would be our recommendation.
