Pros: Inexpensive and legal, nice paint job
Cons: Nothing spectacular about this bat, definately not what you would expect from a combat after using one of their composit bats. An average alloy bat with the combat name. My son is using the -10, 30-20.

Pros: Weight distribution, good pop, better than expected. For the money a very good value.
Cons: Maybe stings a bit more to mis-hit than 100% composite

Pros: My son had to switch from his F4 to an alloy bat.He tried his new combat yesterday. He was very happy. He had no sting at all.(I think he hit the sweet spot almost all 7 times he was up).Very good value.
Cons: none yet.

by THEBATSENSI - Feb 05, 2011
Pros: This bat has a rly good pop!!!! Just like my b1 and b3 gear! The only difference is that the weight feels more sturdy and less flimsy like the b1! It makes me feel more confident to swing more!
Cons: Almost none! Just dont hit it on the neck!

Cons: None

Pros: Nice bat. minimal sting, good pop. Equivalent to composite handle bats.
Cons: None.
by The Pheasant - Mar 07, 2011
Pros: Decent value, quality paint job, very balanced, long barrel.
Cons: Stings on off center hits same as all alloys bats. Decent pop for an alloy bat but this WILL NOT replace your B1/B3, the reviews stating otherwise are misleading.

Ask QuestionWhat temp do I not use it in?
Asked by Bean on Apr 28, 2012
Since the B1ALYB1 is an alloy bat there is no temperature restrictions on it. Composite bats are the only bats with a minimum temperature they can be played in.

My 11 yr old is a great contact hitter who hits for a pretty high average. Which bat between the new Easton S3 or Combat B1 would be better.
Asked by David on Feb 09, 2012
These are both great bats. They are both one piece, 100% alloy and great for contact hitters.
· Feb 09, 2012
Both the COMbat B1 and the Easton S3 are going to be one piece alloy bats, so they are going to perform very similarly and both bats are good choices. The COMbat B1 is going to have thinner walls to help maximize the trampoline effect, but is still going to be pretty durable. The Easton S3 is going to be a pretty evenly balanced bat and a lower moment of inertia (M.O.I.), which will help with a faster swing speed. Both bats are good choices, and I don't think you could go wrong with either one.

What would be a better bat, (has more pop, bigger sweet spot, etc,) the B1 or the Grifter. I'm looking for something in the $100-$200 price range alloy barrel or full alloy bat. If you could recommend othe bats also something that has a 27" -12.
Asked by Aloha State on Jan 31, 2012
The B1 and the Grifter will have good pop and very durable barrels. Combat makes great bats that have huge sweet spots and tons of pop.

will this bat ever break? and is it better than the b3 and the b1 Thank you
Asked by jeter on Mar 07, 2011
This is an alloy bat. The original B1 and B3 are composite bats. This bat has pretty good durability. As for whether or not it's better than the B1 and B3, really comes down to personal preference. The original B1 and B3 may perform a little better, but this is still an excellent bat.
· Mar 08, 2011
Most bats have a life span on them, and come with no guarantees that they won't break. However, all our bats come with at least a one year manufacturers warranty. They will replace that bat one time if anything happens to it within a year.

is this a bat for home runs? and is the price good for the bat because people say the higher the price the better? thank you
Asked by jeter on Mar 06, 2011
The bat by itself has warning track power. If you muscle up I'm sure you'll get it over. Since the bat is alloy, it is a little cheaper due to the manufacturing process. It is a high quality bat that has been a high performer.

Is it best for the new little leauge rule?
Asked by baseballkid20 on Feb 01, 2011
This bat is approved for little league, and it would be a fine bat. As for the best, I wouldn't be able to tell you. But, it is a popular bat manufactured by an excellent company.
